Miami @ Boston 2/3/10

Post#1 » by campybatman » Wed Feb 3, 2010 4:44 pm

Well, I don't see a MIA@BOS thread so I'll begin one. It's almost eleven thirty A.M....

Apparently, Pierce will be out for the game. For Miami, they were without Jermaine O'Neal on Monday due to back spasm. I'm uncertain if he'll play tonight. I heard on the radio that Chalmers is out with a "partially torn ligament in his left thumb."

I expect Tony to start in place of Pierce and probably will guard Wade. This is a game in which I expect Garnett, Perkins and Wallace to excel with an undersized front court of Joel Anthony and Beasley. Even if O'Neal should start, he might not be 100%. Boston has to exploit this and get him in foul trouble early. Also, they need to limit the effectiveness of the Heat's shooters: Richardson and Cook. And Rondo should outplay Alston.

This should be a simple game to win, Celtics turn Miami into an one dimensional team with Wade doing everything.

Dress up as a leprechaun so we can spot you on national TV.

Celtics by 10. Celtics destroyed the Magic on Christmas day without Pierce. Tony allen is playing well. Ray will step his game up since Pierce is out. Celtics by 10

Should be a easy win. If we get any type of bench production it will be a blowout..and damn we need one of those.

I hope it's going to be a good one. Our last two games against the Bucks have been very ugly due to D-Wade's back spasms which limited his actions. If his back is bothering him again, you should easily win this one, if he should be good to go, then it could be a very interesting game, it's as simple as that.

^ One was without Beas, one was without JO. Both w/ the chucking back spasmed D-Wade.

Hopefully we blow them out.....but I doubt that will happen. Hopefully KG has another solid night like he had vs Washington and Tony Allen plays well in Pierce's absence (hopefully he starts, if Scal starts, I'll OFFICIALLY jump on the "wtf is doc doing" bandwagon).

Nothing will be easy without Pierce in the game. With Marquis and Giddens out we don't have any true wings except Walker left... I don't see a blowout. Looking forward to TA on Wade and hoping he doesn't get into early foul trouble.

Rondo should have just taken the layup instead of trying too drop to Tony, good put back though.

I hate that Rondo sped up his FT technique when it was clearly working. It makes no sense.

Is there any worse defensive frontcourt combination in the league then when Rasheed and Big Baby play together?

Neither plays defense and neither secures the rebounds. It's painful to watch.
