what about Rondo being the problem. Wasn't Ainge hinting during the offseason that Rondo had been a locker room problem last year?

Rondo is just frustrated at the locker room attitude. This is how I picture the locker room. You have Sheed ranting about the refs, Baby crying about his minutes, House talking up his entry to the 3 point contest, Ray frustrated by trade talk and Tony Allen smoking crack.

nice post by hemingway, but honestly, why is ta even in the thread title? dude is the team comedian according to rondo, he's probably the last person on the team who would cause problems.

IF it is Ray, do you think Rondo is implying that he is putting his stats ahead of the team as an upcoming FA?

I still can't believe how much Tony is hated. I bet that caller only suggested Tony because he didn't like him. Annoying. Tony's been nothing but a good teammate since he's been here..I doubt he's playing for a contract. Ainge loves Tony (when healthy!) and will probably sign him if no one else does.

Whatever the issues are, they are probably going to get worse in the spotlight

Rondo screwed up dumping it to the media.

This iisn't a new issue. This has been going on since at least last year and the famous players only meeting which did nothing more then split the room between old-against young.

if anything its a detriment to Doc Rivers whom has been a well known player ego manager and his abilities are failing or he is being tuned out.

CLearly Rondo is a hand full-but maybe in a good way.
Baby has had his immaturity issues and I'm sure Perk has winned about shots in the past.
Tony Allen seems like a bit of a loose cannon.

These guys also need stats to continue to establish themselves as NBA palayers and get payed. The vets have already gotten millions and are probably preaching about sacrifice but its easy to say when you've already made more money then the rest of the team combined.

What is missing from this team is a sense of "urgency" a sense of spomething "special" and a shear lack of TEAM WILL to imposse on other teams to mentally beat them. other teams don't fall for our shannanigans any more.

My money is definitely on either Ray or Big Baby and the reason is simple: MONEY.

Ray knows that he's going into free agency and that most likely it will be his last contract. So I have a feeling he's forcing his game a bit and the numbers don't lie.

Same with Big Baby....he signed a contract in the offseason that he was far from happy with and didn't appreciate the way the C's handled it. The team by being able to match any contract offer was effectively able to keep teams from going after him. So he comes into the season thinking he'd have to put up numbers for that next contract. Hence the complaining about minutes etc in the offseason. His minutes are down quite a bit from last year and I'm guessing that's by design.

Also, as far as Rondo being the one to bring this to light....good. To me that shows the kid is growing into a leader and isn't afraid to call people out.

If it was Ray Rondo is talking about he is finished in that locker room until KG and Pierce leave, folks wake up, Rondo got paid Ray didn't, he isn't even close to being that stupid. Ray is giving everything to this team, it may not be enough for you but he isn't leaving anything in the bag. I don't think some of you have a handle on Ray's stature in the game and on this team. **** the team president had a sit down with him and his wife to tell him that he isn't trying to trade him, not that he is, that he isn't. For Rondo to disrespect him after the stunt with the team meeting last year would hurt him big time in the locker room.

I don't think he was talking about anyone in particular as much as he was talking about the team itself being different than from two years ago. That said Sheed wasn't here 2 years ago, Sheed seems to be putting the crap with the refs ahead of the team and was just guilty of a game blowing missed rotation. I just keep thinking of the look on PP's face after Lewis got that lay up.

Sheed is a funky sort and if they tell it to him like it is it may not go so well, but if they lay it out in a way that isn't calling him out it might work.

I don't think we should dismiss the Ray possibility - nor can we assume that he is just this angel on the court. I have seen the Rondo/Ray friction and I think this is increased because Rondo made the all-star team instead of Ray.

Ray certainly has great work habits and a stellar off court reputation.. But that doesn't mean he has no ego. I imagine the guy might be a bit hurt about the trade rumours as well. Let's remember that George Karl had no issues moving him for Gary Payton. As fans your not going to get a real handle on a guys personality..

A good example is Nomar - I remember a Red Sox player revealing (after he was traded) was a selfish prick he was despite having this stellar good guy reputation. Not getting into whether or not that was true - point is WE don't really know a guy as fans.. And as good as Ray's reputation is - around Boston it pales compared to the aura Nomar had..

We know now Perk is one who has or had a problem.......

Kendrick Perkins wants to contribute more offensively and believes the Celtics should go more inside-outside instead of the reverse. The big man from Texas is not one to mince words and he has expressed his unhappiness with the offense.

Perk can go F himself. He wants them to play more in an out when over 50% the time he gets doubled he turns over the ball, he can't hit free throws, and he lays in balls that the vast majority of bigs throws down. What a joke. Yes as a team they should play more in an out...meaning KG and Sheed. Him getting the ball more  Only reason his FG % is so good is because he's getting hit off all the time with great passes.

They should go more inside-out, but, Perk should certainly not be the benefactor of additional looks. Especially until he can improve his interior passing. Now, I've stated on a number of occasions, the team is a pee wee basketball team when it comes to helping when other teams double the post player. Nobody moves to the ball to help and Perk is left to make his own space to pass to an open man 14 feet away or more. But, Perk is no KG when it comes to delivering passes from the post to open cutters.
Baylor is Brat.
