I'll go with the first member of my bench, a solid back-up 2/3 who can do it all, Paul Pierce.

I've never gotten Miller in these competitions...

But at least there's a bunch of other players to spend homer picks on.

I've never gotten Dumars, Isiah, Hill, Ben, Billups, or a number of other guys I'm not at liberty to mention yet.

There's really only three Bulls worth getting in these competitions as rotation players (except Gilmore, if his Bulls years are used)..and a few more DEEP bench guys. I've had the deep bench guys, never anyone at the top end.

I'm picking Derek Harper

'89 Season
(FG%/3PT/FT%/REB/AST/STL/PPG)
.477 .356 .806 2.8 7.0 2.1 17.3

Perfect PG to put next to two amazing offensive finishers, he also provides spacing and plays SOLID defense for me. He can control the tempo of my offense and help Wade/Hill finish when they have to!

I'm going Ron Artest.

There are more talented players on the board, we understand that, but we also feel with the addition of Lucas in the frontcourt, spacing isn't as great a need for our team. Someone whom can come off the bench, and give us flexibility both offensively, and particularly defensively is what we were looking for. In Artest, we choose him in his DPOY season (most likely), where he adds a different dimension to our team, and isn't a slouch offensively, as he was the 2nd leading scorer for the contending Pacer teams. His flexibility on both ends of the floor, and his prowess defensively on the perimeter makes him a nice fit with our team.

^^BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

BOOOOOOOOOOOO

Sorry about the delay and my unavailability. I'm sure a couple of you may have tried to contact me to no avail.

I select, since I need an SG/SF from the 80's, an efficient offensive player who could pass and defend, with help from Sidney Moncrief:

Paul Pressey
Image

While he is a bit weird here, and our team doesn't have a 3-point marksman, Paul Pressey was an efficient 51.7% shooter and an unselfish passer. He was a good-to-great defender, depending on the matchup and how much Moncrief was dominating, but was always in the same conversation. He may be a reach here, but he has the tools to fit into our system very well. As a good rebounder for his position and his ballhandling skills, he is a great glue guy, and he does have some all-defensive team selections to his name.

The Boned Samuels are thrilled to select.............

James Worthy

Image

Big Game James was one of the all-time great clutch performers. While his regular season numbers were never amazing, he reached a new level once he hit the postseason, averaging over 21 points per game for his career. Worthy was always able to hit the tough shots when needed.
A solid defender and a good shooter, Worthy was able to reach the hoop at will.
seven time NBA All Star, two time All-NBA and NBA Finals MVP in 1988. For his career, he won three titles and was instrumental in each of those games.
