It is easy to use hindsight to make a point or validate a position. That does not necessarily make one poster smarter or more knowledgeable than the other.

Sometimes things just turn out one way. Certainly no one was seriously predicting that Sessions would be signed by a team holding the draft rights to two highly drafted point guards. Or that David Lee would not get any offer of more than one year. Or that Jennings would put up 55 points in one game and be Eastern Conference rookie of the month three straight months.

I enjoy reading posts made by both Luke23 and BDUB_30. There is no reason to ridicule someone for an honest opinion. We have all been off base at some point.

My revised Ersan proposal would have been perfect for what Ramon brings to the table. Minny bailed Ramon out.

I hate so many things on this board nowadays, the biggest of which is people who bump old threads to pound their chest and dance around because of hindsight. It doesn't make you smarter or better than anyone else, just makes you look like a tool.

Grow up.

Luke23 ridicules people as much as anyone. Your post is correct, I just don't see why you use it to defend Luke23. If anything, the one situation where calling up an old post like this is appropriate is not to point out that some poster is ignorant or stupid because of their ideas, but rather ignorant or stupid for ridiculing someone else's. BDUB ridicules people a lot, too.

I think I do a pretty good job avoiding it because I know what it's like to be on the wrong side of it, having put up with a lot of totally uncalled-for ridicule by having unpopular opinions. I criticized the yi-for-RJ trade as soon as it happened, said the Bucks should take Curry or Jeffries in a Sessions sign-and-trade last summer because the Knicks would add more assets to the trade, have maintained for a long time that the Bucks should trade Bogut because they could be stuck in a 35-40 win rut for a long time if they don't, and have said that Jennings probably won't be much better than TJ Ford and Rafer Alston. I've followed basketball for a long time and I've seen some long-term patterns that back up these opinions. My opinions are anything but impulsive and poorly considered, but you wouldn't know it based on the way certain people here often respond.

I don't like it either but if someone is calling you an idiot for suggesting something that turns out to be correct I can see it. There was a hell of a lot of venom flying back and forth about this topic around the time of this thread, the board got just about unreadable for a while there (which probably explains why I didn't post in this thread, damn!).

If there are civil conversations over a differing opinion going on that's one thing, but this topic had people trying to stomp on each others faces so it shouldn't be a surprise that there was some bitterness lingering.

FWIW BDub was clearly correct in his assertions however I think it was as much through circumstance as anything else. I do think Sessions was worth more than he received and is a much better player than the one we are seeing in Minny but through a mixture of circumstance he got left out in the cold.

Conversation is far from over, however. Put him in New York or Golden State offense and see what happens.

I don't really like the thread bump. Maybe you made a right or wrong call then, but what about now? Nobody is right 100% of the time and the whole squirrel nut thing.

This is like Kyle Korver blocking Lebron once and then showing him the replay in an attempt to prove he's a better player.

Isn't this the same guy that said JA would be a 20 a games scorer? What a wonderful place this would be if we all were all like BDUB and made a bunch of predictions and then decided to only bump the ones we got correct. I see him as the guy that misses 10 straight shots then moonwalks down the court when he hits that 11th one. All he did with this bump is confirm what we already knew about him.

Bdub caught so much **** on the topic because he made up garbage, got called on it but continued on regardless insulting anyone who disagreed with his attempts at logic. Remember all the "Sessions only has better numbers because he played against backups" or how he thought Sessions played most of his minutes at SG.

haha @ this dude saying i made up garbage.

Like we cant see this thread and read it clearly to see who was making up garbage. Everything i said turned out to be 100% true. When i said it, i was a " moron " and an " idiot" .. It turns out to be true and people claim i was " making stuff up ".

If you guys got anymore backwards in your logic somehow youd be honest.

No it actually does more then that. It puts a certain amount of closure to old debates. And stops alot of the " recreating" what was said.

So we can debate topics for months , post after post but we shouldnt see who was right? That doesnt make sense at all to me. I have no problems if someone wants to bump an old thread and show a quality prediction. Maybe if you were right more often youd have that luxory.

I'm going to go find a thread in which you said you love this forum and then throw it back at you for being a hypocrite.

It's like golf. I can't play golf and I've never tried, but I guarantee if I swung a club 50 times I'd probably hit one straight. Some people here make endless predictions and you never hear about it when they're wrong, but when they're right...

Not to mention the moderator of this site has bumped old threads. SIgras " optimists win " thread gets bumped.

Hey its really not that big of a deal, past predictions are wildly interesting if you ask me. I mean 9 millon dollars per year for Sessions and Luke23 , Lukepliska AND Europa all were in that range ? hahah that is a failure beyond words.. lets keep it real here.

WEFFPIM is like that guy who's all hyped to play you at lets say basketball but then after you beat him he wants to take his ball and go home.

Classic sore loser/crybaby mentality.
