GT: Spurs (27-19) @ Kings (16-31)

Post#1 » by Nolan » Wed Feb 3, 2010 6:48 pm

When: 10:00 PM ET, February 3, 2010
Where: ARCO Arena, Sacramento, CA

This is the first game of the rodeo road trip and we really need a win. We've been so up and down lately I don't even know what to expect tonight but it better be a win. The Kings have playing pretty bad lately and this should be an easy win to start off the road trip and build some momentum, but you never know with this team.

Go Spurs!!

I haven't been looking forward to the rodeo road trip this year. Our play of late has been very inconsistent - good wins over Atl and Memphis but losses to Melo-less Nuggets in there as well. Our D has been average most of the year.

Hoping for some positive signs not only from this game but the next few as well. When is TP expected back?

He probably won't play tonight and he's traveling with the team. So i'm guessing he'll be back in the next couple games.

The rodeo is here. Our season will be decided in the next 8 games. Man up or get shipped out.

Close one. Kings almost pulled out the win. We should never allow 113 points. Nice game from Blair with 20 and Hill with 23.

How do we continue to give up these high scores. Its the freakin' kings for crying out loud. How do they score 113 on us. Barely ick out a win against lowly SAC. Things have got to change. No way we are going to compete this way. Portland is up next and they seem to always play us tough. Hopefully Tony comes back strong.

We're not getting past the first round with this sort of play. Simple as that.

Portland is without Oden and Roy. We should win that game, but even if we did, it's not a game we could brag about. Man, I don't know how slow Bowen got last year, but I thought he still did a good job in the playoffs. Problem was, we were very shorthanded offensively last year without Manu in the playoffs and with injuries during the regular season. But I didn't have much problem with Bowen's defense at all. Even right now, I think Bowen's defense last year is still the best defense we have this year. I kinda wish we bring back Bowen man.. Bring back Bowen and play him 25 minutes, let Manu start, give RJ about 30 minutes at backup SG/SF. Use Roger Mason as Steve Kerr type specialist.

I am SOOO not satisfied with how our defense look.

I'd kill to have Bowen back, circa 2005 version.

Return to San Antonio Spurs
