Im proud to select for my bench 2 guys that can come in and do a great job

Jack Sikma
1981-82 .479FG .855FT 12.7RPG 3.4APG 1.2spg 1.3BPG 19.6ppg
Image

Bernard King

1983-84 .572FG .779FT 5.1RPG 2.1APG 1.0SPG 26.3PPG
Image

Sikma gives me the PF/C combo backup and his 85%FT shooting allows him to be the late 4th qter closer. KAJ credits his defense as the guy that gives him the most trouble. A true pick and pop guy that works great with Isiah. Sikma also led the NBA in def rebounding and finsihed 2nd only to the great Moses Malone in 82.

Bernard King is the monster 6th man that can dominate games. His 57% from the field allows him to produce on limited FGAs.

we select our 6th man and jack of all trades... The Matrix

Shawn Marion

Image

The 2005–06 NBA season was perhaps the best season of his career. He was the only player in the NBA ranked in the top 20 in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, field goal percentage and minutes. He finished the season leading the Suns in points per game (21.8), rebounds per game (11.8), blocks per game (1.7), and steals per game (2.0). Marion also ranked 3rd in efficiency. He helped fill in the void left by star Amar'e Stoudemire, who did not play virtually the entire season due to injury. Marion also earned a spot in the NBA All-Star Game for the third time.

His all around game and ability to guard 4 positions is ideal for our 6th man. Plus he could knock down the open 3 and was a great shooter (ugly but effective)

Chauncey Billups. There are many solid rotational PF's later on, and Chauncey has a great TS% (60.something) and does a great job on both ends of the floor. While I was considering other sharpshooters, I couldn't pass up on a guy who can light it up, lock it down, and step aside if need be. A Finals MVP under his belt and a couple of other pieces of hardware including all-defensive team selections, and I don't care if he's not the most talented guy available, I'm taking him.

I used the "find" command on the OP and I entered in "Bilups". That'll **** do it. My bad.

I take...

Alex English.

I've been flip-flopping on a bunch of guys. I take him. I need some firepower, and I like his versatility.

I'm going with Chris Webber

Image

I'm using his 2001 season where he averaged 27PPG/11REB/4AST/1.3STL/1.7BBLK/48%FG

I'm surprised he even dropped this low, considering his peak season is just as good as say....Dirk in the '00s. I'm actually really happy to grab him here, because he was the player I wanted to put next to Russell. Anyway, he's going to be great coming off the bench, he has the post-up game, mid-range shot, athleticism, will to score, and his passing is going to compliment Russell and the entire team terrifically. An absolute steal IMO.

I had 3 candidates but can't pass up on this one :o

great finisher, unstoppable when paired up with Magic, can provide instant offense off the bench, nice jumper to spread the floor, nice compliment to Jerry Sloan.

how the hell is he still on the board anyway ?

He had a monster year 30/20 in his rookie season. He'd be the perfect back up big man to Dirk and David Robinson with his rebounding.

I'm gonna go BPA for my big man off the bench... the NBA's fourth all-time leading rebounder and seventh all time leading scorer:

1976-77 - 23.7/12.5/1.9/2.7/1.1, .501/.687, All-NBA 1st Team

Frankly, I think Hayes could start at PF for most ATL squads and could have gone much earlier, so I'm ecstatic to nab him here. I obviously love his fit next to Unseld (champs) and he would also be tremendous next to either Zo or James. Hayes owns the NBA's 2nd best single season defensive rating ever, only recently bested by Ben Wallace, and has the 15th best DRTG of all time. Offensively, we love his scoring versatility - he's deadly both inside and outside - and we're glad to add yet another dominant rebounder to the mix.

Im again surprised and have to take Mitch Richmond

1991-92 .468FG .384 3pt .813FT 4.0RPG 5.1APG 1.2spg 0.4bpg 22.5PPG

Mitch gives me maybe the best 3 guard rotation and another solid outside shooter to go with Isiah and Dumars.
