but is that what the TSN announcer said?

that's what i heard.... but i don't see it anywhere yet.

I feel horrible for him. His son died in a car accident apparently. Really really sad and I hope hes ok. He was always close with his kids.

Yeah, that's really sad. I remember he was features on TSN and told his story about he was gay and how he wanted to change the perception in the hockey world. Rest in peace.

But back to the Topic, it's sad I kinda feel sorry for him right now, He just gets blown by Devils, and his son who is gay is dead... R.I.P Brendan

If there is one small consolation for Brian Burke it's that his son's coming out publicly recently gave him a chance to stand beside him and offer him unconditional support and love which must have been greatly appreciated by Brendan.

My sincere sympathies.

Team put out a statement, and there are news stories out of Indiana. The vehicle Brendan and another guy were driving in was caught in blizzard conditions - the big storm sweeping across the eastern US - and slid laterally across the median into an oncoming vehicle. Brendan and his passenger were killed.
