Amare Not Opting Out?
This means he'll be a free agent in 2011 right? Will we have enough for him when everybody expires?

Yes, we will. Whether we will want him or not and whether he'll want us or not is a different issue.

Re: Amare Not Opting Out?
I vote nay to wanting him and his ridiculous max contract wants. He's not worth more than 10 mill per, yet will demand far more than that. Hell I'd rather have this new incarnate of Zach Randolph than Amare (play no defense, overrated rebounder, injury prone) Stoudemire.
Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, it's bobsled time!

Not sure he'd be a great fit.

Amare possibly only said he's leaning towards "opting-in" after trade talks with Philly started to heat up. A rebuilding process with Philly won't interest him and Philly would most likely just let Amare walk at the end of the season, which means less money for Amare to possibly earn during free agency.

Amare will not opt out. Suns' will offer him an extension this week and if he declines he'll probably get dealt by Feb 18.

Re: Amare Not Opting Out?
I wouldn't pay him 10 mill. Seen him play several times, not really interested. He might bring some fans in though. So if Pacers statisticians can measure the monetary effect of the increased fan presence against his salary then we'll have a clearer look.
