Hey, I don't have a big problem with Flip hard balling these kids to grow TFU.

It's like if you saw a parent that didn't get it regarding raising their kids and then something happens where the light goes on. I saw this in my family one. It was a rough transition as the kid had to learn the new rules. There were fits and crying for a month or so. But eventually the kid adjusted as the parents learned what they really needed to be doing. In the end, not only that kid but all the others that followed grow up in a much better environment that lead them to excel. The first kid is now in college on a scholarship and is an amazing young man.

Flip came into a cultural mess with this team. One that had been overwhelmed with to much youthful antics last year and to much ME BIG THREE for years before that. The youngs were always lead down the wrong road because Gil was the leader of such antics.

You can't really expect Flip to clean up this mess in 10, 20, or 30 games.

Many have commented on how poorly we have developed our young. Let see how that changes without your 111M star player setting the wrong example and sucking these kids into his world. I remember seeing Gil budding up with Nick his first year and thinking.... Oh NO.

I started a thread a while ago. it was last year or maybe the year before that was centered on who are the mature players and what we need to do to develop a solid team. We let go of solid players for reasons of money that had what we lack. Mason for one. DSong for another.

You can't have a good team if you have DS, MJ, Gil types and talented kids that need to get it like NY, AB and McGee. Yeah CB is blowing it also but he isn't the problem that Gil was. CB doesn't kill your cap and he doesn't lead with immaturity.

Saunders later singled out Andray Blatche, who went scoreless with three rebounds and two turnovers in 11 minutes. "I told Andray, 'I've seen enough of that behind-the-back dribble in the lane. That might've worked on the playgrounds, but it ain't going to work here.' Every time he does that, he turns it over. There are habits that have to be broken."

When informed of Saunders's comment after the game, Blatche said: "He's the man. I don't have anything to say about that."

After starting this latest skid with a one-point loss to Dallas, the Wizards (14-29) have lost their past two games to Miami and the Clippers by a combined 39 points. And the situation won't get easier with the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers coming to town on Tuesday.

"That's a helluva challenge," said Caron Butler, who scored 10 points but missed 12 of his 17 attempts against the Clippers. "We got the champs coming to town. You got to have a ghost out there with you. Got have five-plus-one or something."

So Dray gets called out for his behind the back turnover but CB doesn't. I love Dray response. If that isnt sign that he has lost them, I dont what is. Granted, Dray did have two turnovers in 12 minutes but CB was way more an issue then Dray was.

Once of Flips best coached games of the year was against Orlando. Nice rotations.

So would you believe me if I said we are

3-2 over 5 games
5-6 over 11

And had we one the Dallas that we lost by 1 on the CB play and the OT at Chicago that we lost by two then we would be

7-5 over 12 games

A LITTLE BREAK.
This postponed game at ATL get us out of a back to back against them and it give us a nice three game break between a win and our game against Charlotte before we get anther 8 day break.

A win against Charlotte send us into the break on a 4-2 run.

Our season if pretty soft the finish out.

Flip said the other day, oh well we didn't get a bunch of calls. That's what happens when you're a bad team, you don't get calls.

You know what? I'm calling BS on that. To me Flip is saying, well, it doesn't matter, we suck. No. Your job is to win. Your job is to CARE about winning. Your job is to get in the ref's face and get a technical and not let that BS slide.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.
