no reason why we shouldn't have won that. if we'd hit open shots it'd be a W.

It still amazes me that the Jazz have actually been hot recently. I've watched them about four times in the last month, and they've looked incredibly mediocre each time.
They let a lineup consisting of AC/JR/Graham/Allen/Petro cut a 13 point lead down to 3 in the 3rd/4th quarter, at home. How the hell is that even possible? There are D-League teams with more talent then that.
I really do hope they make the playoffs, and we're somehow lucky enough to face them.

Re: Game 51: Denver Nuggets (34-16) @ Utah Jazz (30-18)
We had every right to lose that.
Great effort I thought.
An away game at a team playing good basketball... Afflalo, Nene, probably had the worst game of their careers.
AC played a lot and sucked.
It's good to know that the 2nd/3rd unit can take it on with the 3rd seed in the West.
Usually I feel **** after a loss, but that was actually a great game and effort from the Nuggets. Hopefully Melo and CB are back for the MAvs.

Agreed. I mean, we basically conceded the game at halftime when Nene and Afflalo both left, to go along with Melo and Billups....and yet our (deep) bench guys still played hard and almost took the lead late. Got to be happy with that effort.
Rest up, back to full strength for a beat down of the Mavs on Monday.

Loss i can live with. Lot of good in this game however the result was L.
It would not be not bad of an idea to rest up CB & Melo all the way through All Star break. I like seeing others having that will in the absence of the them 2 unlike LA Kobe being stubborn with his injuries and others relying on him heavily.
Yesterday's game was so good to watch, had to watch it again with bunch of replays. Guys are showing & sending a message to LA that if they put their head & heart to it, they can beat them.
PS. Graham was good. Hope he can continue to develop.

don't know what happened to nene. just know he didn't play much in the 2nd half.
afflalo certainly sprained his ankle good though. wouldn't be surprised me if he misses a game if it swells up bad tonight.

JR wished AC would start? That what will happen if AA can't play.

I would anticipate it that way if Melo or Billups was a go. In this case GK might put J.R in to start. We should ride J.R through these next two games & see how he will react to responsibility.
Is Balkman ever going to play? Makes me wonder.

Billups already missed 9 games in the first half. there's only 2 games in the nexxt 11 days for the nuggets and both are against tough competition, teams that want to gain ground on them in the standings. isn't Billups vacationing on all star weekend ? no need for him to miss anymore games.

^^ Billups is in the all-star game for the 3-pt shootout and he replaced Paul because of the injury.

Billups showed what he got stored for LAL this season. In order to succeed the goal there should be smart adjustments on these injuries. We fans want to win every game but the last thing the team need is push guys off the injury too soon to make it worse, so i am totally on the same page if team decide to rest main guys that are having injuries through the next 2 games using all star break as a bonus will not be a bad idea.
LA game was beauty! Everyone was competing all out. Bynum & Gasol surely having thoughts after that one. Now we have mental edge on them.
