We are above average as of now.. we're turning into a team like the spurs are today, beat up on all of the bad teams and lose to .500< teams

The difference is Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen don't play
like $60Million Annual Salary should.

And Danny has done Jack in 2 1/2 years to bring in any one decent VIA TRADE.

I still feel that Danny squandered the Giddens pick. That was a pick he could have sold
for $3 Million easily, and used that to add to a trade.

Right now GIddens is a waste of a roster spot.

And the lack of shooters on the bench who can spread the floor is pathetic.
Marquis, Tony and Giddens are redundant.

Davis is undersized and not athletic.
Perkins is undersized and not athletic.
Rasheed is old and not athletic.
KG is injured, mechanically, and is currently not athletic.
Scal never was athletic.

This is a trend that I don't like.

There is no one to spell Rondo who can penetrate and make shots.

Again, the GIddens pick was squandered on a non-shooter.

The Celtics could probably have gotten Nate Robinson in October 2008,
when Nate made about $1.3 million peryear, for two second round picks using
their trade exception.

Gomes could have been had back in December, for a First Round Pick.

We are above average and definitely need a major shake up...if no trades are made we will not win another ring. We are just not good enough...Danny needs to deliver, the time is running out...

You keep parroting this line, but don't provide anything in the way of defining this that I can recall. The team has at least 6 shooters, three for each unit, I don't know why this is insufficient. You can argue that you'd prefer fewer limited players that cannot be counted on to shoot, but I have yet to receive any concrete evidence that a coach cannot be expected to work with three shooters and two insider scorers. Especially when you aren't forced to play anyone out of position, per se.

Today was the first installment of proving this unfounded hypothesis wrong.

I voted for shake up.
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

Welll...if no Iguodala, Martin, Ellis no trade...

Just those 3 would keep us in contention and give 3th star to Rondo and Perkins...

Well if no trades made we are in Conference semifinals and conference finlas in 2010,2011 and 2012...Than its time for new Era

2012...

Rondo, Perkins, Pierce on 2 years contract

I actually hope we get the 4th seed, we would sweep the Raptors and get rest for the 2nd round.

I'm of the mind that we can still get to the Conference Finals this season, but it's no guarantee at all with Orlando, Cleveland, Atlanta as possible opponents.

If this same core is our team in 2012, we'll be very lucky to make the semi finals even. Even next year, if we don't change our team up, I doubt we go past the semi finals with an older team.

As for the Celtics- they're close to being contenders, but they need some more athleticism, rebounding, and more focus.

OK, you are obviously a troll. I let the Daniels comment slide, but now you have a warning. Thanks for playing. Canman
