Pretty big difference between our team and the Lakers and Nuggets. They both have relatively young, athletic cores. If one of their best players are out, they're so athletic and explosive offensively that it hardly matters. If we had a bench player with the offensive potential of JR Smith, it wouldn't be a big deal if Pierce or Ray Allen missed a game. If we had a backup forward at the skill level of Lamar Odom, it wouldn't matter if we miss KG or Perkins for some games. They have role players who can step in and fill the gap for the time being.
Our bench doesn't even compare to those teams. Our most athletic players are Tony Allen, who only displays any sort of athleticism once every ten games, and scrubs who don't play because they're way too lacking in most necessary basketball skills to play in the NBA (Walker, Giddens). Eddie House's shot is not falling this year and Sheed is inconsistent to say the least, so we really have no outside threat off the bench either.
All I'm saying is don't compare us to teams like that.. you'll depress us all.
