Evans Is King wrote:since we are going to be in the lottery again this year if we can draft cousins i say we trade martin for devin harris. salaries match and we can put evans at SG where i think he will be dominant with a speedy pg. kinda like beno/ evans back court only harris is faster and has waaaaay more potential. what do you guys think. i checked the trade it works

Harris/Evans would be an absolutely terrible backcourt.

Talented. But one of the worst fits possible

i say we trade Martin/Noc to Utah for Kirilenko/NY 1st.

gives us 2 top 10 picks and Kirilenko can play the 3 and 4 for us. Let him expire at end of 2011 and by then maybe the Kings will be on the map enough to land a top FA.

Get a PF and a SG in the draft. Maybe Cousins with the first pick and Xavier Henry with the NY pick.

Hawes
Cousins
Kirilenko
Greene
Evans

with Thompson, Beno, Xavier Henry, Casspi, Garcia, Brockman, Udoka off the bench.

That would be awesome IMO

I really want us to make a trade because it'd make this season interesting again.

I hope Petrie clears up at least another 4-5 million for the summer. It's not that difficult and the opportunity is there. We can't have another offseason with some capspace but only enough to waste on guys like Hilton Armstrong, Desmond Mason, and Sean May. While this team is still young, there's a chance that a step or two forward could be taken, but at least some of the work has to be done before this deadline.

I like the idea of moving Nocioni for a 2010 ender or a 2011 ender(if it nets a defensive frontcourt presence, i.e. Dalembert).

Noc's nice, but he's just a luxury that we can't afford at this point. He's better off with a contender anyways.

Noc is not nice. Noc is garbage and needs to be dumped ASAP

Oh he fills a role, he's just not nice to a rebuilding team at 6-7 million the next two years. He'd be nice in SA or Boston...and I think something like Nocioni+Thomas' expiring contract for RJ might be a good deal for both the Spurs and the Kings. RJ has not fit well in San Antonio, and even though we delay or cap space to 2011, we make it bigger for the summer of 2011 while simultaneously adding a huge trading chip in RJ's expiring contract for the year next year.

The Spurs shed off 9 million of RJ's contract next year, making them players in the 2010 summer, and get a serviceable role player that'd fit in with what they're doing. I.e. hit the 3 ball and play defense.

Return to Sacramento Kings
