Good stuff. It seems like we're going to be pretty quiet at next week's trade deadline. Maybe he'll throw in a expiring for expiring trade with someone just to keep shrink happy.

$13-$14 million in cap space, eh?

That has to be without counting draft picks right?

Either that or Sessions or Gomes is going to be a goner I think.

Guess our win streak has brought Kahn out of hiding. Smart guy. Now he can do all the interviews without all the questions being about how bad we are.

KahnInterview wrote:Q: Trade possibilities for Rubio?

Kahn: When? Now? No way.

It's not really much to go on, but it seems like Kahn might be more open to moving Rubio in the future than he used to be. When asked about trading Rubio in the past, he'd be like, "Absolutely not. We want Ricky in a Wolves jersey." Here they asked if he was trading Ricky and Kahn's like "when?" I also think that Kahn has been using GM double-speak in his interviews to say that Big Al will be traded one day. That's just my impression from this and several other Kahn interviews, so feel free to disagree.

No major moves before the deadline. Nothing new, but I think that's definitely a smart stance.

Kahn wrote:I would like to take Kurt out for a day or two

I hope they're happy together.

Q: So that pretty much says that Jefferson or guys like that who have been bandied about are kind of off the table?

Kahn: Well bandied about, and not to scold anyone in this room. It really is depressing. I read yet another one this morning where we were supposedly one of the teams that had interest in Kevin Martin. I don’t mean to say anything about Kevin Martin. I haven’t had one discussion with Sacramento. Not one. The whole season, whether it's about Kevin Martin or anyone on their roster. And yet, we live in a world where people are willing to say whatever they want to say. In Al's case, I swear on a stack of bibles, as a friend of mine says, we have not had one discussion that we initiated involving Al Jefferson. Not one. And yet, it hasn’t stopped people from saying that he has been talked about in trades. Not true.

Isn't Kahn Jewish? Is he telling us something?

Are you trying to say Jewish people don't have a bible?

It reminds me of the Cheers episode when they couldn't figure out why mormons couldn't buy flowers.

As for the 13-14 mil cap space. I thought it sounded a bit high when I heard it too. Kahn could've just not been counting Rubios cap hold as it disappears once next season starts. I'm not reading anything into it yet.

I have it on good authority that Pekovic is 2.10 meters, or 6’10.75. I am not sure why they think he is 6’9.

btw, the Old Testament is the Jewish Bible. FYI.

Especially if he's really a rock solid 275 lbs like Kahn claimed.

I don't think he's 6"10.75. Maybe if he wears the same shoes as Love did at the combine.

That is the official measurement used without shoes. 2.10 m. Pekovic is bigger than Al or Love. He is below the rim, but he is much bigger and stronger.

I'm absolutely loving the interview with Kahn. Great answers and insight. I was a bit curious about the Pekovic measurement as well. I was of the belief they did all their measurements barefoot.

I wish there was a site that listed the barefoot with shoes measurements of every NBA player and guy who teams own the rights to. I thought Love and Jefferson were really 6'8" and not 6'10".

Just based on the eyeball test, he looks considerably shorter than that.

This guy must be like 7'6" then

Vukosavljevic, the other guy in the photo, was measured at 2.05 meters in October.

Vuko looks to be jumping in that picture. Pekovic looks to be standing flat footed. This just in, if two guys are the same height as each other, and one guy jumps while a picture is taken, he'll be higher in the air than the other guy.

Draftexpress.com
Draft measurements
Al Jefferson - barefoot(6'8.5") shoes(6'9.75")
Kevin Love - barefoot(6'7.75") shoes(6'9.5")
Nikola Pekovic - listed as 6'11", no combine measurements
Dwight Howard - barefoot(6'9") shoes(6'10.25") - for reference, obviously Howard kills them all with athleticism.

Brilliant J2J! I thought I could have fooled you all!

Unless this white dude has some sort of ridiculous verticl, I think the picture speaks for itself. I'm going to remain skeptical he's 6'11" until he's in the NBA and I'm proven otherwise. I'll take the GM from the team that own's his rights over Rev's sources and the internet.

I'm not sure anything about that picture implies a ridiculous vertical. Unless you think 10 inches is a ridiculous vertical.

I don't think those Euroleague height measurements are based on actual measurements. DX has a list of combine measurements that I loaded into excel awhile back. I started going through the list and comparing combine measurements to the listed Euroleague measurements. The first 3 guys I looked at had a Euroleague measurement between their combine measurements for with and without shoes. Then next guy I looked at had the same measurements as the combine with shoes. And the last 3 guys I looked at had higher Euroleague measurements than the combine with shoes. So I'd say for the most part the Euroleague measurement is closer to their actual height with shoes but they are not necessarily accurate.
