Of the players mentioned in Cavs trade rumors, who would you most want on this team?

i would go with this order...

1 iggy, great D, young, athletic
2 jamison, clutch, great stretch 4
3 stoud, only this low becuz of his injury past
4 murphy, not a bad pick up, just the others would fit better, imo

Yeah, except with no trade chips, Amare and Iggy don't happen.

The others,I guess the Cavs can do it if they are not too pushy.Same as always....Hickson+pick
CENSORED... No comment.

Frankly, I don't understand interest in Murphy at all, UNLESS we can get him without giving up any rotation players. I'd be very concerned about his slow feet and his lack of a post-game. I'd rather play Z as a stretch four than give up JJ for Murphy. I'd rather keep the status quo and see what Powe can give us.

I'd also take a pass on Amare -- he's too selfish and plays no defense. Amarae is just nowhere near the same explosive player he was prior to his surgery. In fact, he's now one of the most over-rated players in the league.

Jamison would be a perfect fit for this season, but he's at the tail end of his career. Great guy, plays hard, and would be an adequate defender in the Cavs system.

Iggy, though i doubt we can get him, would be tremendous. If we could get Iggy without giving up anything but JJ and expirings would be a home run.

Can you imagine a team with LBJ, D-West, Iggy and AV on defense. With Shaq clogging the lane, this team would be a nightmare to play against.

Cavs fans are funny, you guys honestly think you can get another star player without giving anything up. The cavs are the only team that I am %100 sure are not going to make a trade, simply because they have nothing to offer. If all you have is JJ Hickson and expiring the best you will get back is a Sam Dalembar or someone elses trash. But have fun dreaming

Funny coming from a Suns fan considering Cleveland literally picked up Shaq for trash.

For me

1. Iggy - Lebron's scottie
2. Amare - P&R with Lebron would be nasty
3. Jamison - Only downside is his age
4. Murphy - Blah.

Honestly, I don't see why so many of you are down on Troy Murphy ?

Granted, in comparison to the names that have been tossed about, I can understand how he's the least attractive... But, adding Murphy to this team would not be a bad thing whatsoever...

He's going to knock down that 3 ball and he's going to get on the glass... Again, we're not looking for someone to come in and dominate, cause that would just disrupt the flow-- someone like Troy could come right in, space the floor and be a perfect complimentary piece to what we have...

It's about making guys like KG, Sheed, Rashard and Pau actually have to play some defense on our PF... Having a 6-11 guy that can step out there is going to pull bigs away from the basket, will limit their ability to trap LeBron and will create lanes for LBJ as well-- and will also be a quality guy to pick and pop with...

I have no problems adding a Troy Murphy to the Cavs in all honesty.. Especially if other teams are demanding too much...

I frankly can't see why we wouldn't love Iggy and wouldn't trade for him. He's young and is a phenomenal defender and he can rebound and pass. He would be amazing with Lebron and is the best player he would ever play with, all the while still being very young. I don't see how we could pass this up.

Sign and trade Wally plus Z, maybe JJ or a pick
For Igoudala and Dalembert

Lineup:

PG Mo Williams
SG Anthony Parker
SF Andre Igoudala
PF Lebron James
C Shaq O'Neal

Igoudala is a great defender and slasher, and will be used to running a team when Lebron is resting. He could be Lebron's Pippen.

Dalembert is overpaid, but taking him would entice the 76ers to give up Igoudala because they can save a lot of money and rebuild. Plus, he is a decent center (7 pts, 10 rbs, 2 blks) and will be able to fill Z's current role. He could give us some security at C for next year too.

I think 76er's do the deal maybe even without us giving JJ or a 1st because they cannot justify keeping Brand, Dalembert and Igoudala's contract for the coming years and having those three clog up $39 million/year. The Cavs are the only team that might be willing to take on that much money.

I doubt this is an actual fear, but what if Iguodala turned into Larry Hughes 2.0? Iggy seems to have a lot better attitude when it comes to playing team basketball, but could Hughes be precedence as to why Iguodala may not work out well in Cleveland?

Sixer fan chiming in with the Larry Hughes Iguodala comparison.

Being a fan of both players, since they were both Sixers and they both were supposed to be sidekicks to Iverson I can give a pretty good comparsion.

Iguodala is like a better version of Larry Hughes.

He's more athlethic, he's stronger, he's a better sound defender, he's a better passer, he's a better shooter, and he's not injury prone.

Iguodala is kinda best described as a Lebron-lite or and Larry Hughes-max.

The only problem I see is Iguodala isn't a great shooter, he's just decent, he's probably gonna end up being a 33-35% shooter his whole career, for the Sixers that sucks, because we have no other shooters on the team.

But with the Cavs that's awesome, since yall already have MO and Lebron is developing a great 3pt shot too.

Also if you get someone like Dalembert out of the deal, who's really a 10/10/2 big would probably be your best defensive big man.

And once we released Z, you would have a lineup of Z,Shaq,Varejeo,Dalembert to throw at KG/Perkins, Dwight/Gortat and Gasol/Bymun/Odom.

I mean to me that's a dynasty right there, a Bulls-esque dynasty.
