We already have a better version of him on the roster. His name is Alando Tucker.

I heard a rumor from a guy I used to play ball with that now works at a Subway in NJ where Kiki's doorman sometimes eats at who said a Sessions and Blount for Lopez and Simmons trade is in the works.

Wow. Cool :D

I like Gomes a lot, but the idea to trade him does make sense. Freeing up a little extra cap room heading into the offseason makes sense. Also we're going to be targeting wings and in my mind Gomes is a SF so he's going to get squeezed with minutes for Brewer, Ellington and draft/FA. I don't really place a lot of value in Walker and CDR and no value in Scalabrine.

That said I think a late round pick could have some value in helping us move up. Let's say a team is up against the cap and has the pick we want. Trading the higher pick and a contract to us for multiple picks later in the round helps both teams out. I can throw specific scenarios out later if I have more time.

Sad as it is, Gomes is not worth his contract to this team unless we feel he is still improving. To me, Gomes is a good bench player that can explode (mem) every once in a while but needs to be around better players. Move him simply for cap space and I will be ok with it, move him for cap and a future (2011+) pick and I will be very happy.

No need for Bill Walker. We do not need anymore c/d prospects.

I don't think we'll be able to get Tony Allen and a pick for Gomes now. Allen has been playing really well lately, I'd like to get him for Gomes...but doubtful Boston does it.

Does Gomes for Azubuike make sense to anyone? I would lean towards saying both teams say no to the deal, but there are some things that make sense in the deal to both teams.

I think Scal and a pick would be a more likely deal.
