7 Days to go. It's Time!! Trade for a BIg man!!!

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Thu Feb 11, 2010 11:24 pm

It's time for the jazz to trade for a big man. 7 days to go till trade deadline. Use Okur or Boozer to get it done!! Fes, Koufus and Korver are expendable to help get a decent trade done. Neither Boozer or Okur can stand up to any tall strong big men. One has to go. Fes and koufus have been wasted with the jazz. DO it now and worry about next year, next year!! How about Camby, Haywood, Delenbart, Brooke lopez, Biedrens, Ben Wallace. Some are for just this years, others for following years.

How about Okur, Korver and Kufous for Biedrens & Magette! Pick up a ten day big man or wing. Actually helps us this year financially and next year, too. No Okur, Boozer, Korver, Koufus, or Fes.

I would love to see Biedrens and Magette here..

Just would hate to lose Korver/Okur/Fes (fan favorites) to get it.. trade CJ+Utah Jazz dancers+Koufus+Rod Decker+Brewer whatever you can to get it..

I have posted similiar trade and got bashed for it. The Jazz need to make a trade like this but the front office maybe content on just making the playoffs and winning 1 or 2 rounds and then losing to Lakers. The Jazz cannot win it all unless they take a risk and get a big like Biedrens or Camby.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

If we wanna be contenders this year, I think it's clear that we need to make a move for a big man who can compete with the length of the Lakers. There's no way we get past them in the playoffs. Haywood for the Harp TE would be a great move. I love Biedrins but Gasol and Bynum would push him around and so would Nenê. If the Jazz stand pat, they'll still probably be a top 5 seed in the West, but once we have to face the Nuggets or the Lakers, we're done.

I would love a trade like this. I've watched the warriors for years, Nellie values players who can just score and create mismatches, I think Okur is just that type of players and since Beans isn't even playing right now....

If the price is right, sure why not? We could use a trade exemption and CJ was made to play Nellie ball. He only makes $9 million a year.

I know I am going to get yelled at because I can't remember this but can you do a player & TPE for a player? If not you could do CJ/Korver/pick for Beidrens and then a TPE for filler. Something like that.

You cannot combine a TPE and a player. Biedrins has three more years at 9M per which would push us into the luxury range again next year with only 8 players under contract. I don't thinkhe is worth that.

I know it's easy to call out the lack of a defensive big for the jazz's woes against the Nugs & Lakers but it seems to me what would have really helped them was another scorer.....call me crazy but I think a wing capable of getting 15-20ppg every nite would have made a huge difference...the Jazz have shown they can get a stop when needed but it's when their O is out of sync that they realy struggle....just MHO

I actually agree with this. The Jazz's problems against the Lakers weren't really on the defensive side. It was a complete offensive meltdown.

This is where Corey Magette would be helpful for the Jazz. Since I started this post I have found out Biedrens is Hurt. That is unfortunate. Maybe Korver and Brewer for magette! Tahnks for the response

Korver is shooting lights out, if we just needed offense does it not make sense to say he should have played more?

Korver didn't hit one shot against the Lakers on Wednesday. The only thing i saw from him was something i see in Miles: a terrible sense of shot selection.

Korver played 7 minutes... barely enough time to start getting in a rhythm. When he has been given time he has been shooting well. And these 7 minutes came after a week of DNP.

Korver is a good shooter and if we ran the Harpring curl for him he'd put up atleast 10 ppg on that easy. I used to hate Korver but I like how he was playing before he got benched. I think we're showcasing CJ for a trade that gives us a prospect or a pick and then Korver gets all of CJ's minutes.

GSW needs rebounds and D,has perimeter shooters. The age difference between Biedrins + Okur is huge. It gives Utah a long term C....which does not benefit GSW. Even Nellie gets that he can't win getting outboarded by 15 and more
CENSORED... No comment.
