OT, Breaking News: Kobe out of the All-Star game, Deron In?

Post#1 » by akola » Thu Feb 11, 2010 10:13 pm

Laker fan here, Kobe decided not to play in the all-star game, I'm hoping Deron Williams gets to play over Kidd because he deserves it most out of anyone, but sadly I think they're giving kobe's spot to old @ss Jason Kidd. Complete BS

Just filed to ESPN: Kobe Bryant's ankle injury will force him out of Sunday All-Star Game; Jason Kidd of hometown Mavs to replace him w/West

Haha, I was thinking he was questioning if Deron will be in the starting line up or not.

Kidd took his spot. What a travesty.

What are you talking about? Kidd didn't take Deron's spot.

Deron is already in and was in from the beginning. I think he means Boozer, since Boozer got a big snub against Kaman,

If this is true about Kobe It looks like Boozer is back at the all-star game.

They just said on TNT that it's up to the coaches who starts. Now I know Karl is a fan of D-Will, you all saw the wiretap the other day that said they almost drafted him. Last season on the Nuggets broadcast they said that he voted for D-Will in the all-star game, and he's always had high praise for him.

They already have Nash starting, so it should really come down to D-Will or Durant. Durant is an SF though. He could go home team and start Kidd. Hopefully he starts D-Will since he's a guard.

I would have picked Tyreke Evans over Kidd.

I think Sac would be challenging NJ for sucktitude without him.

With Karl picking do you think he could be inclined to pick Chauncey as the starter?

I think Karl has Deron start since he was an original reserve, he's in his home town, and that's opposing coaches are conciliatory towards opponents.

Stern only picked Jason Kidd because the game is in Dallas. I wouldnt be surprised if Kidd got to start along with Dirk. What a joke. Deron should get the start in my opinion. He is the best guard left on the roster.

The travel problems getting into Dallas might be part of the reason Stern picked Kidd.

I'm sort of ok with Kidd as long as he doesn't start. The only guard who got jobbed is Rudy Gay. I won't cry for Tony Parker.
