WT: Biedrins available

Post#1 » by erudite23 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 5:19 pm

If the Warriors are really interested in trading Biedrins, the Jazz are crazy not to go for him. He's an exceptional rebounder, a very good shot blocker, and a surprisingly proficient passer/facilitator out of the high post. He can't shoot to save himself, but he has the natural ability to be a dominant defensive force with a little more maturity and a team that emphasizes it.

If the Jazz don't make a concerted effort here, I am officially joining Holy Toledo in calling for the heads of the entire FO.

I agree, the warriors are my other team I watch and Beans is a great center. Unfortunately, Nelly is unpredictable when it comes to rotations and so seems like he is out. About his offense, its important to remember that he gets 0 plays called for him and makes most of his pts just cleaning the glass. He would be a really good fit for the jazz, maybe we can swing a deal for him with okur.

Biendrins is a phenominal player, I would love to have him on the Jazz. Maybe some combination of Brewer-Korver-Fess-Millsap gets him?

That is what I was thinking but CJ instead of Brewer. I think that CJ would fit Nellie's style a lot better. He can shot, dribble, pass, and run. He can play 3 positions in the style. We could also do something with the TPE.

I agree with E23, but we dont have much to offer. The pick is off the table and the likely available pieces are Memo, Brewer, CJ, Korver, Fes and Kosta. Maybe if push comes to shove the Jazz will cough up Boozer and go with Sap at PF. If this is a "futre" move then I would trade Boozer and say the rights to Tomic for Biedrins and a filler. Otherwise giving up any combo of Korver/Brewer or CJ makes us weak on the wing.

My thoughts as well.. CJ would do much better in golden state.. I still hate to lose Okur/Korver.

You way overvalue Biedrins. If the Warriors would take Okur for him .... fine. But that's the only offer i'd make.

I wouldn't include Milsap. I would be very hard pressed to include Brewer.

It's not like we're getting much offensively from Memo these days anyway. He's been so tentative it's depressing.

I'd include Brewer, but I don't think there's the best deal for GSW with the Jazz.

The Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks are close to a major trade that would send Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson to Dallas for Josh Howard, Drew Gooden and Quintin Ross, according to a league source.

I can't understand why it's so hard to match this offer. Include a 3rd team who will take DeShawn and we're done...
If this goes thru Dallas will be a threat...

Why do you guys want Biedrins so badly? So much so that your willing to ship Booze for him. What does he have to offer? If you want to contend with the Lakers Biedrins is not the guy to go for. He will decrease our offensive output and I'm not convinced he would help out defensively.

I don't want him that bad. He is cheaper and younger than Okur. He is also taller, quicker, and can't be worse defensively.

I'd give up Okur and CJ.

i'd give up brewer and CJ (i've given up on those 2)..keep Okur and get magette or Martin or....beidrins maggette together for boozer....

With Beidrins + Magette we get some offense and defense in a package.

I dunno I hope KOC makes SOME move, I really do. Even a future pick for Brewer because with Matthews we are overloaded (Korver sitting doing nothing for example). I don't think we can beat the Lakers in the playoffs and Boozer could walk for nothing. I guess one positive with all this lockout talk is teams will be paranoid to sign anyone a huge contract so the free agent demand could be much less this year. Korver and Boozer might have to settle for the same or less.

I doubt that the FO will trade an expiring contract this year for future salary cap issues, which will occur if Biedrins and Maggette were part of the trade. When they made a commitment to Okur they decided that they wouldn't have any future flexibility.

Warrior fans tend to think a straight up swap is ok. They think they may have to add something

I don't think the dubs would have a problem with trading Beans and Mags to get Boozer and fillers bet it better if they get a future pic.
