Truthfully speaking though I don't think it'll be a major impact trade this year. The whack economy has wrecked havoc on pro sports across the board. I can't come up with one Big Game, maybe if Denver does something.......don't know if will doom us though.

Does anyone think a Stoudemire acquisition by the Cavs will all but guarantee a c'ship for the Cavs?

For some reason I wouldn't mind it because: we've had success against a Stoudemire-Shaq frontcourt, Amare likes shooting jumpshots, Amare doesn't play defense (that might change in Cleveland but I doubt it).

I did say Amare-Shaq is a frontcourt we've done well against in the past but with Lebron in the mix instead of Nash what changes? Thoughts.

I have trouble with Cleveland's blue collar guys who work hard and hustle every possession. I hope they acquire Jamison which would mean lesser minutes for Hickson and Varejao.

yeah they would be dangerous but i think amare would make them weaker. the cavs are a great defensive team. amare hates defense,it won't be enough time for him to by into the system. to me they should leave their team alone. as currently built they are an underrated team that is kicking everyone's butt. why mess with something that isn't broken?

Nah man, I know we can beat the Cavs. Looking back on the two games I saw a bunch of things that led me to believe we can. First game we just wasn't there after the 1st quarter, second game we we're kicking their ass for like 3 quarters until Phil went brain dead by leaving Kobe out too long. But all that said we didn't even show them everything, I mean watch the game if you can and tell me how much of the triangle you seen us run ?

As far as them making a trade, the only thing that's being reported is Jamison and Amare going there. Neither one plays defense worth a damn, and supposedly this is what the Cavs hang their hat on. But after watching last nights Cavs/Magic game let's just say I didn't see no lock down defense. Both will make the Cavs worse on D.

Mark my words iamworthy, the Cavs are riding high right now. But they're in for a big fall........trust me.

i don't think there's a single rumored trade out there that would put the lakers in a position of being the underdog.

butler/haywood to mavs, eh. haywood is pretty much another dampier, and butler is pretty much another howard. mavs just aren't in the lakers league right now.

jamison or amare to the cavs, i don't think either trade helps them against the lakers. the lakers could use a weak link in the cavs' post defense, and both of them provide that.

Right now the Cavs are better than our Lakers. They might do something to improve. I do not see the Lakers doing anything. I wish we could get a PG that would make a difference. Farmar could be that one.

Morrison is not worth keeping around. But no one wants him, he is the best we could trade and he is mostly useless.

Anything that gets the ball out of Lebrons hands more is a good thing.

I kind of hope the Mavs do that because it makes them a strong 3rd and gives Denver a major series before the WCF to weaken them, plus there's a bit of hatred there to Denver from last years series.

While LA is punishing the 8 (okc would be ideal) and 4 or 5 (jazz or spurs, having to punish each other first), the 2/3/6/7 side could be a dogfight - imagine Denver Dallas Portland Houston Phoenix, all knocking each other out. Then they have to deal with LA.

Even if the Cavs don't pull a trade, I would consider the Cavs favorites over the Lakers right now.

maybe add Vujacic or Walton to get a bettr player with a bigger contract?

the problem for us though is that if other teams make a trade, they are filling a need (like cleveland PF with stoudemire/jamison/murphy), for us, there is not a lot of available point guards who are as good as those guys, and we can't really afford to have another very good high-paid player taking minutes from players at other positions... i dont know if that made sense.. im confused.

bottom line.: we need a better point guard, or get players to improve our bench (specifically SF)

man... Hinrich and Salmons would be perfect for us!

The Lakers need a backup small forward, and another defensive minded player who can play both sides o the court against many positions like Prince is just what they need (that, and a point guard). Also, with Gasol or Bynum almost always being injured, Prince... nevermind--- he is always injured, too.

Detroit Pistons

In: Andris Biedrins, CJ Watson, Devean George

Detroit needs a proper starting center to grow with this team, and Biedrins, when healthy, is like a taller Ben Wallace (instead of having the real, old one). Biedrins production has dropped this season because of injuries, but so has Prince's, but Prince is not needed in this Palace anymore.
CJ Watson is also a good point guard, that is much needed in Detroit, considering all their 'point guards' are only good scorers, and cannot at all get their teammates set for an open shot. He is also a good shooter, which is also needed in Detroit, as well as an expiring contract, along with Devean George.

Golden State Warriors
Out: Andris Biedrins, CJ Watson, Devean George
In: Kwame Brown, Adam Morrison, Josh Powell or DJ Mbenga, Derek Fisher-bought out, Knicks 2010 2nd round pick

They are done this season, so why not tank? Get all expirers and another middle pick in the draft, and use their own pick (or free agency) to pick up a center. Biedrins and his contract are clearly unwanted with all the trade buzz around him, so trade him away, for more healthy big men and players who are there for the reast of the 30 games of the season.

Deep, I know what you mean about the Cavs. They did the same thing last year then had a major fall. And yes, I do agree with you defensive assessment. I just dont like the idea of....lets say a amare for Big Z and other pieces...then Big Z being bought out and going right back to the Cavs. If Im the Suns Im demanding JJ Hickson. If the Cavs give him up they are in even more trouble.

Sorry man but that sucks.....Prince can't even stay healthy and it's one reason why the Pistons are trying to throw out that trash. Problem is NOBODY wants him, so why should we ?

What exactly brings about this big fall? Are you talking about the playoffs? I'm just hoping Shaq wears himself out but he's only on 20 minutes per game. So if anything Pau, Lamar and Andrew need to get their act together against the Cavs frontline and they will 'harden' up if they know Amare or Jamison are coming to town. Like Kobe and Andrew missing games, I hope the guys come to play knowing they have to go up against high quality front courts.
