its not really so much that people are "coming around" to realizing boris isnt the answer. its more about how boris completely lowered his game this year compared to last year and he is now giving us no choice but to look in a different direction. if we had boris of last year, this wouldnt be an issue.

That's the disappointing thing in all of this. What if we had the 2008-2009 Boris? That + Jackson on this team would be outstanding. Just look at how well we play when he has a good/motivated game. If we just played the Suns or Hawks every night we'd be in first place.

The Boris of last year is the Boris of this year. Boris is averaging 5 less ppg which is not surprise since he has given up shots to Jackson. Diaw is averaging just over 1 less rpg and apg. His 3p% is off also. Point is Diaw isn't that much worse than he was last year. He's simply not a 4 and we need a 4.

If the Pistons offered you guys Maxiell straight up for Diaw (in the offseason) would you accept? Neither guys' contract is friendly, but Max's is 4Mil cheaper per year, and he's actually a 4. He is no star, but he's an energy guy who can board and hit the mid-range J out to about 15 feet rather consistently.

We we would still be missing a starting 4 because Maxiell is only a back up 4 IMO.

That said, $5mil a year for a fairly limited back up 4 for the next 4 years is a lot to pay IMO.

I'd only trade you Diaw if you take Chandler for free
