The Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets made bids for Thomas over the weekend, league sources said. The Nuggets have actively searched for a big man in recent weeks, working to pry younger (DeAndre Jordan(notes)) and older ones (Antonio McDyess(notes) and Ben Wallace(notes)) without success.

After losing out on Caron Butler(notes) to the Mavericks, Houston has gotten serious with bids for Thomas and Washington’s Antawn Jamison(notes), sources said.

Actually I think all of these other rumors we here about the Rockets having "serious talk with" involving McGrady is to put pressure on Donnie Walsh.

Morey is just blowing smoke. You see the demands to take on Jefferies 1.5 10 million dollar deal? No way he'd touch Jamisons contract. The trade with Chicago does nothing for us long term. I think Morey had one real trade partner in mind and is just actively "shopping" McGrady so he can get his demands met by NY.

How so? If the Knicks want to sign two max free agents next summer then they have to renounce their rights to T-Mac, Lee, & Nate. Thus they would lose their bird rights to those 3 players.

So the Knicks are suppose to lure LBJ with this roster?

With the new CBA coming, you don't want to be saddled with a contract like Iggy especially with a hard cap.

2011... Yao, Battier, Jefferies combine for 30 million in cap relief. Surely we will re-sign Brooks, Landry, and Yao. But our team is set up nicely with great cap flexibility and PLENTY of assets to pull off a HUGE trade if they feel the need to.
