This is very bad for the Knicks - if they fail to land Lebron AND one of Wade/Bosh/Johnson then this trade - essentially 2 Knicks first rounders and the higher of two first round pics - will be seen as something that could severely hurt the franchise for years to come.

SMH
No way Walsh pick swaps in 2011 AND sends Houston a 2012 first round pick! It's either or! My feeling is that it will be a 2011 pick swap . That will be added to the Knicks sending 2010 2nd round pick, hill , hughes and jeffries.

The Knicks will look like this next summer:

PG: Douglas
SG: Chandler
C: Curry
SF: Gallinari
PF: ?

If the Knicks want to have the room to sign two MAX free agents then they are going to have renounce the rights to T-Mac, Lee, & Nate. Thus they won't be able to sign those players after using their cap space.

There is going to be a lot of pressure on Walsh this summer.

Hey guys - let's not forget something important here:

If this deal goes down then we need to cheer for McGrady & the Knicks from here on out this season. We want to see them get into the playoffs and do well.

Why?

To totally F@#$ the Jazz, of course! :)

Yes sir, We cannot let Jazz have a high pick.

For this, I hope Tmac makes Knicks go 31-0!

Marc Stein says the Rockets will decide between the Knicks and Bulls deal tomorrow. I guess the Knicks deal isn't as enticing as it looked yesterday.

Bulls deal:
League sources said the Bulls have offered Brad Miller, Tyrus Thomas and either Kirk Hinrich or John Salmons to Houston for McGrady, who has been granted a leave and is training in Chicago.

If we get stuck with Kirk Hinrich's contract, somebody tell me where Morey lives. I'll go and toilet paper his house.

Some SI reporter said that sources tell him if it comes down to the Bulls and Knicks, the Bulls are the frontrunners.

Do you think the Bulls have a trade lined up for a big involving Hinrich?

I actually think I like the Knicks offer better than the Bulls. Hinrich isn't worth his contract.
Trade S. Jackson soon. NJ seems like a nice place for him.

It says "either" John Salmons or Kirk Hinrich. And if the Rockets are seriously considering the Bulls offer, I would think it was Salmons.

Jon Feigen in his latest blog made his decision between the 2 deals from Bulls and Knicks.
http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2010/02/jazz ... ts_fa.html
He prefered the Bulls' deal of Miller, Thomas, Salmons. I am in the same boat as him. All 3 players will have more impact to the current roster and filled the holes.

Rockets need a big man? Miller is a serviceable center that know Adelman's system well.
Rockets need a offensive SG? Salmons is a serviceable SG and the best thing is his presence will force eiher Battier or Ariza to the bench!!!
Tyrus Thomas is a good backup option for Scola and Landry, should Scola become too expensive to retain.

What about to Detroit for Hamilton, Kwame Brown(expiring) and Chris Wilcox(player option)?
Rip Hamilton is a stain on the Pistons franchise.
