The Wizards can get a lot more for Jamison than Ford and Mike Dunleavy, the ladder of whom is probably virtually immovable with his injury...and the former, I can't imagine anyone really wants right now.

The Pacers could be eliminated out of that trade entirely, with Big Z, Hickson, draft pick and whatever else being sent to the Wiz for Jamison and Miller. It would be much better for the Wizards.

Yeah it;s pretty lopsided I could let the Cavs keep Hickson and give the #1 to the wiz, but one thing that I saw said the Cavs and Wiz weren't on a trade friendly basis because of some bad blood. And the ESPN story did say they were willing to take a hit in a lopsided trade, so that was my premise.

The fact that Jamison has reentered the frame tells me Amare is not heading to Cleveland for one of two reasons, either the Cavs are bulking at the idea of taking on excess salary or Amare will not opt in for the 2010 season creating problems for the Cavs.

Again it's posturing because the deal between the Cavs and the Pacers for Murphy is in full play, but the Cavs are making sure the options are exhausted before pulling the trigger on the deal.

Be mindful of how much Murphy plays tomorrow night if at all sparingly. If he doesn't play much at all, pretty good odds are he's traded.

Whats so bad about keeping murph for another year and having a 10+mil expiring contract to offer teams next season? Id rather do that than assist the cavs in a title any day

It's not so bad, but the financial saving we'd get with an expiring are pretty important. It would be great for the franchise to not have to pay Murph 11m next season. Not that we'd have any space to use, but just save some cash for once.

Guys, living in Cleveland, I hear alot about these trade talks. The Cavs will not give up Z, Hickson, and a first round pick. Whoever they trade Z to will be bought out. So basically the team will jsut be getting Hickson.

I agree with you on this. If we can't get some value for Murphy I say keep him and wait till the draft or deadline next year. I don't mean that we should be getting a top ten pick but we should be left with something, Big Z and a #1 pick and then cut Z. Is ok and this is the minimum to us that I would accept, but next year at this time we'll be able to get more assuming Murph is still playing at the same level.

Let's remember the only reason to do this is to save on the Luxury tax next season and that Tax is not assessed until the end of the year, not the beginning. We'll have 4 big expiring deals, Foster $6.6 mill, TJ at $8.5 mil, MDJ at $10.6 mill, and Murph at $11.9 tha's a total of more than $37 million. We should be able to move one or 2 or more of those guys and bring in some good value. There will be teams willing to pay well for those expiring contracts. 8-)

Cavs get Jamison. Looks like Murphy was Plan C.

It was the 3rd team that did it. If it wasn't for those meddling Clippers, Murphy might be gone by now.

I'm not too upset about it. If we have to trade him next season we'll get more out of him. There's still 15 hours to go who knows what might happen. Sacto, Milwakee, maybe someone else we haven't heard about.

Unless Jason Thompson is coming to Indy, I'd rather just hold onto Murphy.

I'm with you on that I might be ok with Kenny Thomas and Hilton Armstrong for Troy but I'd like to get a #1 pick too. So as far as I'm concerned we can keep Troy for now.
