Boozer to washington for Blatche and M Miller

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Tue Feb 16, 2010 5:44 am

How about Boozer to Washington for Mike Miller and Blatche. The Money works. Jazz then trade Ronnie Brewer to Okalhoma or Memphis to get rid of 2.5 mil.

Okur Fes Kosta
Milsap Blatche Kirlinko
Kirlinko Miller Miles
Mathews Miles Korver
Williams Price Gaines

This gives Blatche time to develop. Miller can audition for a next year along with Korver and jazz alittle $

I've always liked both players but have also always felt they would clash with Sloan. Millers haircut, or lack there-of, alone would put him in Sloan's doghouse. Blatche doesn't seem to have a whole lot more Basketball IQ then Fes.

That being said, I think the Jazz can get more than that for Booz. Best bet may just be to wait until the summer and work a sign and trade.

+1

we would get back a lot more value in a sign-and-trade.

Why does Washington do that when they have Jamison?

Are you kidding me? Why don't they do this? This trade is a massacre, no way the Jazz do it. With this deal the Wizards could trade Jamison, or atleast it wouldn't hurt much if Jamison leaves. It would suck though if Boozer has no interest in re-signing with Washington.

Don't get me wrong--I'm not saying the Jazz are getting a good deal here. This is just out of left field and I don't see it meeting a need in Washington. By reports that are out there, Washington hasn't moved Jamison because they like him--he's not untouchable but he's not their hot potato either. If they like him, why would they trade for Boozer and then look for other deals--especially if Boozer is a rental? They can't completely hit the reset button on their roster due to Arenas and his deal so they at least have to be a bit discretionary on what moves they are making. And I've never read anything that says Washington is after Boozer.

I look at it as using the same logic that says we move AK for Allen. Now we have an even deeper glut at guard--but we always make more moves, right? I always question deals that start out the explanation with "the money works"...

Washington has no reason to do it. Boozer could just walk in the off-season and then they've lost Blatche for nothing.

Lottery teams are not going to trade keeper assets (like young players) for a rental like Boozer.
