What about a Maggette for Marvin + Collins + Morris with a chance to resign of the two latest (more likely Collins once waived) unless we go for Ben + 2nd for Collins and 1st.
We would sign a FA at the SF/SG position or resign Othello at SF/PF.
Bibby - Crawford - Teague
JJ - Crawford- Mario
Maggette- Evans- FA
Smoothe- Joe S- Zaza
Al- Ben- Zaza
ATL gets more fire power with Maggette (but lose youth). ATL also gain beef to control the Dwight, Perkins and to a lesser extent Shaq...
GS rebuild with younger talent.
DET just get an additional 1st. This could allow them to pick twice or to trade up the draft to move very high...

Re: ATL/ GS
No. Maggette's contract is horrible (after this year 3yr/31M left). Acquiring him would make any attempt to resign Joe a luxury tax issue for sure (translation, goodbye Joe). Beyond all that the BYC issues I think would make the trade fail under the cap rules.

Don't forget that Marvin, due to his high position at the draft, got a big rookie contract, and his last season was at 5,636,142, and this is this value for the BYC rule (greater than 50% of his current salary).
The three salaries of Marvin, Morris and Collins= 7,316,828
125% of 7,316,828 = 9,146,035 and Maggette 8,937,931, so it should be OK.
The problem of trading only for Maggette would be that we wouldn't upgrade the front court.

Okay, so the math works. Maggette's contract is still horrible.
