Out of no where: Sasha for Tyrus / Bynum shopped?!?!

Post#1 » by Sofa King » Wed Feb 17, 2010 2:29 pm

According to Mark Miller of Yahoo Sports, the Chicago Bulls are looking to move Tyrus Thomas in exchange for Sasha Vujacic of the Los Angeles Lakers. Thomas is a bit of a hothead and is wearing thin on the Bulls team. Sasha is a young player who has developed his game to more than just a stand up jump shot. Sasha is looking for a place to showcase his skills other than the shadow of Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest.

This is a surprising move to hear of form the Lakers who were reported to be shopping Andrew Bynum. Bynum has been struggling with injuries each year into his career. He has missed a lot of games this year and has been underperforming. Especially on defense he has lagged behind the rest of the league. He is a young player with some upside and I expect a team like the Golden State Warriors would like to see a new star emerge in the Bay Area. I expect to see a deal for Center Andris Biedrins. This would be a welcome back-up center for the Lakers to add toughness to the team. The Warriors have not been contenders in recent years.

I'd post this in the Hinrich thread, but this rumor doesn't include him. Looks like those are separate sources about Sasha and Bynum. Biedrins has his share of injuries and missed games.

This is hard to believe and I call fake.

Wow that article makes Bynum sound like a complete scrub. Have I been drinking the koolaide or what? Who is this Sasha that was mentioned in that article certainly it cant be the one that plays for the Lakers, after reading that I am ready to take a chance on the guy and send him down to the dleauge  !

Wow,this kind of trade rumours make me

Total nonsense, the Bulls are trying to shed money for Wade ,why would they take Vujacic's contract which expires next year?Especially when TT ,as "hothead" as he is is a QO in the summer so the Bulls don't need to sign him if they don't want him.

And why would the Lakers want another big?Where would Thomas play? There aren't enough minutes with Gasol/Bynum/Odom

The second part,Bynum for Biedrins,no thanks....Biedrins is a better defender but he is injury prone too and is putrid on the offensive end(13% FT shooter this year  )...also he fouls A LOT

Now if they throw in their 1st round pick(unprotected of course)and Morrow, that's another story
