I didn't blame westphal for the loss i credited Boston defense. I was just looking at big picture, i dont care if we win 30 consecutive game, i just dont like the overall body of his work. i watched enough games and i dont think hes a good coach and no one will convince me otherwise. i know lots of people here disagree with my assessment, And that's fine by me, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.....

If you dont like my opinions just put me in your ignore list...

The free throws were certainly frustrating, but there really were a lot of positives to take from this game.

I would be absolutely thrilled if our bigs could consistently defend the way they did tonight. That may be their best combined defensive effort all season. Just really outstanding stuff.

I mean if you look purely at the stats, we really outplayed them in every area except FTs. I mean the effort was just really solidly, consistently there. Offensively things weren't all that bad, considering Boston's D. That stretch in the 3rd where we were getting plenty of open shots and just not making them really hurt in the long run. We had a lot of good opportunities there, and very easily could have entered the 4th at least down 2 or 3 instead of down 7.

It's also not fair to say all of these definitive things about guys for missing clutch FTs. I could maybe kind of understand Jason, but Omri has hit big shots all year--including, lest some of you forget, the 3 in this game that gave us the lead. And of course, Tyreke has also been Tyreke all year. I don't see any reason to believe that this is part of a pattern of behavior for these guys. It's an unfortunate thing that's going to happen to a young team, and I sure would've liked to have gotten the win, but there really were a ton of positives in this game.

That's all fine and dandy, but your opinion isn't backed up by anything at all. That's what I have a problem with. Other than the missed free throws, this was a PERFECT game for us against a title-contender.

People need to understand the Westphal is USING the fact that he has a PASS this year to get these guys really good BIG GAME type experience. It actually is better right now if we LOSE because we will get a really good big out of the 2010 draft. But this VERY YOUNG TEAM is getting QUALITY MINUTES against top competition. This will help to make them READY for the playoffs even without the EXPERIENCE of having been there.

Only a few??? From my experience Boston fans were in full effect. Throughout the whole game they were being obnoxious. I swear I seen more green in that arena than purple.

Did you catch that guy who stripped his clothes during a break on one of the "Dance Cams"? HILLARIOUS! (NO HOMO)

Regarding specifics, I myself was dissapointed with the substitutions. Maybe I have no concept of coaching but there were a few times where I could not understand why certain players were left on the floor or bench (and no i don't mean regarding the whole Martin situation). Casspi I thought was all over the court during the first quarter, he was playing well and then at some point of the game he was stuck on the bench for much longer than I felt was necessary (3rd quarter?). I also felt Sean May should have been taken out sooner. And why play Udoka at all if its only going to be in the closing seconds??? Where was Sergio? I'm just getting pissed over the inconsistant lineups/substitutions from game to game. How can we ever develop chemistry if things are never consistant! As a player, it just has to be confusing on what your role is suppose to be night after night...

The missed free throws were painful. I thought Tyreke missed alot of layups he usually makes.

Overall, the game was entertaining. Very physical. We had some bright spots and things to reflect on moving forward. But there were also negatives. Maybe we'll get them next time...

Defense. And at the end of the first half, it was so that Tyreke didn't pick up his third foul.

And really some guys are just going to get squeezed out of the rotation. There simply aren't minutes for Sergio.

I took into consideration that Udoka must have been on the floor for defense. And i guess I wasn't paying attention when he came in at the end of the first half...my point was just that it seems petty to use the guy for such a short amount of time only in those situations (last night he played a whopping :43 seconds total). Granted, I understand there are players that are thrown in for specific purposes but Udoka IMO deserves a little more time than what I saw. He's a pretty solid all-around reserve if you ask me. The team seemed to excel in the beginning of the season with him playing a good share of minutes. I had to revisit our current roster now that everyone is healthy and I guess when it comes down to it, he is the odd man out considering he's not apart of the the team's direction moving forward. Still, I feel he's solid enough for Westphal to use a little more than he does...

As for Rodriguez, I didn't realize he wasn't even active last night until just now due to Garcia returning LOL
