how did they ruin his value? teams were trying to "Gasol" the Suns - not even Gasol - they were giving crap. i am glad the Suns thought of Amare has an asset to make a basketball move and not just crap

However, we know from our true insider that the Sixers were NOT going to trade Iggy unless they knew FOR SURE that Amare would re-sign. Which means extension talks could be sign&trade now to Philly for Iggy. OR we may have offered Daly/Thad or something like that.

Riley isn't stupid. Amare would never get that deal with an expiring CBA. Get be looking at 3 years max.

Well, as of yesterday I would have thought maybe Amare wanted to stay here since he's raised his family here and this has been the only basketball home he's ever known. But now...I don't know if he'll even want to stay.

b/c teams know that they don't have to offer us ANYTHING since they can just sign him in a few months. Risky, risky move guys. If Amare walks for NOTHING then...dayum.
Traxxe wrote:Amare staying in Phoenix suprises everyone. Everyone close to the team. Everyone in the media. No one expected Amare not to be traded. Even the people closest to this situation are bewildered. Information is a completely fallable industry. There are cases to be made that EVERYONE involved in this is full of it. ESPN, AZ reporters, myself... all got it wrong.
I never said Amare was going to Cleveland but that was the preferred offer on the table. I had no way ofknowing Kerr ultimately says no.
