Nothing. That's the fear.

Speights is still (for some reason) considered untouchable in Philly. Daly/Iggy for Jrich/Amare is my guess. Maybe Barbs for LouWill too.

Now that the Cleveland Cavaliers have made their big trade all eyes turn to Phoenix to see what the Suns will do with Amare Stoudemire.

Two sources told ESPN.com that the Suns called the Cavs this afternoon and told them they had decided against sending Amare to Cleveland. A few hours later the Cavs had completed a deal for Antawn Jamison.

That leaves the Miami Heat as the only known suitor for Amare. One source close to the process disputed what a Suns source told me earlier today about Miami's reluctance to give up draft picks for Amare. The Heat own the Raptors' and their own first-round draft picks this year.

"The Heat have offered a pick," the source said. "I think this comes down to, will they offer their second first-rounder as well?"

If the Suns balk at making a deal with Miami, chances are they're keeping Amare. The only other potential suitor may be the Chicago Bulls. A source said the Bulls expressed interest in Amare earlier in the week, but they've been quiet on the Amare front since then.

If the Suns can't make a trade before Thursday's deadline, expect Amare to be unhappy.

"He's going to be upset," one source familiar with the process told ESPN.com. "He's been reading his names in the headlines every day. He's been wooed by Dwyane Wade and LeBron. It's time to move on."

Ford got it half right.

The Cavs decided against it because the Suns wanted to draw the process on longer and the Cavs didn't want to get screwed by the Suns like they did last year.

Yeah yeah yeah, what happened to "The heat is on" yeaaaa not so much
This is not our managements fault. Amare is set to make 17 million and still wants more. He is worth no more than he already makes. If anyone is greedy its him.

I wish amare went to cleveland. I really hate the teams management and because I'm an Amare fan, I would've liked to see him get some championships under his belt with Lebron. Same goes for Nash, but this organization is just ****.

Nope. they would be afraid that they too could be traded at the drop of a dime (or penny). :(

quoting seth from bright side

Sign and trade makes no sense to me
Here’s why a team would do it

a) A team w/ cap space wants to be able to get Amare the max using the Suns Bird’s rights. So lets say there’s a bidding war for Amare and he can pick between two teams and both can offer him a 5 yrs deal and one team offers to do a sign and trade w/ the Suns so they “pay” the Suns to do it and help them get Amare the full 6 yrs w/ the 10.5% annual increases

But does anyone really think that any team would be willing to do that? Give Amare 6yrs and $138m which is the max under the Suns Bird rights?

b) A team w/o cap space wants Amare and they trade a contract to the Suns to clear that cap space but why would the Suns take another team’s contract? This is the more possible of the two scenarios but still not likely…

Dont worry, Ill be the vocal one and take the wrath from all the traxxe fansboys. Trust me, this dude hasnt put out ANYTHING.

You are full of ****. You know I told everyone about Hedo going to the Raptors. I also got on here before the crappy Griff signing before it happened. In this Amare thing alone I told you the sixers weren't going to trade Iggy and were off the table before their GM announced it. I told you before hand about the extension offer coming, ballpark what the suns were offering, ect. Those things panned out.

I'm done with inside info. I wil post as a fan as I mentioned earlier but didn't follow through with. As for my contacts, I've always said they were open to failure. Since I'm done here with inside info I'll open up and say generically that my brother is an ESPN sports writer and another person in my 'family' is engaged to a Suns reporter.

That said, I'm done. Sunsbum and other dicks ruined it for everyone. It's too much of a job and stress to take my time, wake up early. Post what I hear. Etc. My name is private so my family is safe from being exposed. I trust the mods to keep it private.

I suggest if Mods want to keep their insiders that they ban dicks who attack them for no reason. IT's why this board loses these people.

I guess a best case scenario is we keep Amare extend him reasonably for 2 or 3 years at a solid price of 13 mil a year or so.

Get rid of j rich and barbosa try to get rudy gay.

Gay Amare Clark Lopez. I like that potential

Our organization is the one that sucks, not yours. We had a chance to give you guys Iguodala, yet Eddie STIFFanski turned it down like a moron.
