The Cavaliers have the look of a champion
The Cleveland Cavaliers have that look, the look that you see when you look at a champion. It's the look that so many Laker teams have had; the same look that so many Dallas Cowboy teams had; The same look that so many Yankee teams have had. It is more than the sum of their parts. It is a feeling that their opponent has when they play them, the feeling that a loss is immanent.
Future hall of fame center Oneal starts at Center; newly acquired power forward Antawn Jamison will start; All World small forward LeBron James; starting shooting guard Anthony Parker, and starting point Mo Williams bringing the team down the court. As if that wasn't enough to worry about, the Cavaliers have Delonte West, Hickson, Powe, Anderson Varejao, Daniel Gibson, Jamario Moon, Jawad Williams, Danny Green, Sebastian Telfair, Darnell Jackson, and the immanent return of Zydrunas Ilgauskas on their bench. To make matters worse, the Cavaliers have gotten better and better as the season has progressed. Despite injuries to Mo Williams, Jamario Moon, Oneal, Delonte West, and Powe, the Cavaliers have gone 40-8 since starting the season 3-3. They have the league's best record at home, the best overall record, and are on a franchise-tying record 13 game win streak, where they have beaten their opponents by an average of over 10 points a game.
There will be people who will find small holes in the Cavaliers, and will attempt to exploit them and use them as a reason for why Cleveland isn't as good as they may appear. There are others who will try to tear down the team with rumors of LeBron James possibly leaving during the summer, to another team. People will try to take the Cavaliers down in every way imaginable. No stone will be left unturned because each of the people trying to tear the Cavaliers down, will be doing it for no reason other than the fact that they wish that their team was the Cavs. Yet, no matter what people try, nothing will work. As good as the Cavaliers have been, they have just gotten better! And the scary part for their opponents is that they are bound to get even better.

Jazz fan here, while the Lakers had the target, this IMO places the target on the Cavs back. It's amazing that you guys were able to obtain a 20/10 guy for a 34yr old center and the 30th pick of the 2010 draft. You guys might even get the big guy back. Scary...

Hey guys, Heat fan here. I love the way the Cavs are playing and to add Jamison (who will be a perfect fit) will only add to the system. Congratlations for the 2009-2010 Championship !!!!

Jamison's stats shouldn't fall much within the next 2 years... I was praying that the Cavs was just using Amarie as a smoke-screen to get the wiz to the lower their asking price of Jamison

Yes Cleveland is a strong team.
You got a superstar in James. A solid PG in MO, some good 20-25 min a game from Shaq and know jamison how had good O and litle D.
I think my Lakers team have the look of a champion.
They are not geting hyped up about the reagular season, they play somtimes like they dont care about it but still get the W.
They have the second best record in the NBA(after Cleveland) and they have not start playing at 100%.
I still think we have a stronger team then you do.
Bynum,Gasol,Artest,Odom and Kobe are a stronger group then James,Shaq,Big Z,Mo, jamison and Varejao(or parker).
In the playoffs you start playing with 7-8 guys so i does not matter if you have a great bench from the 9 man and down(only if you got inj).
I think this was a good trade for Cleveland but i still like the Lakers in 7 games series.
p.s Phil Jackson would out coach Mike Brown in the playoffs(just like Stan last season, when you had a stronger team then Orlando).

Re: The Cavaliers have the look of a champion
How'd the Lakers do .vs. the Celtics in the finals without Bynum the year before?
Technically, Ben Wallace and Z played for the Cavs in the playoffs last year, but they weren't really there. Two of the better post defenders in the league couldn't do a thing to slow down Howard?
Everybody likes the Laker's chances. You guys have a terrific team, but there's nothing to be learned from looking at the past. Look at what's happening now (Cavs 2 Lakers 0), and let's see what sort of shape the teams are in when the finals eventually roll around.

I like how the Laker fan leaves their starting PG out of the equation. He's still playing 27 mpg.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I'm surprised he didn't try to throw Shannon Brown in our face.

Totally agree. Perhaps if it gets out of hand you can just delete it, and replace the first post with a red 'STFU'?

Re: The Cavaliers have the look of a champion
How many Cavalier fans are running over to the Laker forum to convince them we are good?
This is what I meant when I said that the Cavaliers have the look of a champion! The opponent (including fans of the opponent) already feels as if the game is over. Sure, they think their team will win in a series, or a game... but that is a forced belief. Deep down is that sinking feeling that is sort of like when your dog dies. You loved you dog (Team), but you know it is time to move on. The Cavaliers are wearing a long black hooded robe, carrying a scythe. The teams that have to face them already feel dead. And the fans of those teams feel the same way because they know that the writing is on the wall.
