Kevin Martin will be a Rocket...
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

The remaining negotiating point is protection on the draft pick(s) the Rockets would gain in the trade. The Rockets want no protection on either the swapped 2011 first-round pick or the 2012 first-round pick, but the Knicks want protection in case the team misses the playoffs, and is in the lottery, either year. ESPN reports that the Knicks are looking for top-10 protection.

New York wanted to protect their picks. I'm glad we didn't trade with New York.

The writing was on the wall for Carl leaving, interest in pfs Tyrus Thomas, Jordan Hill... Landry's upcoming big pay day.... I knew Morey would look to trade him rather than extending him, I've never been so sad that my gut was right.

(Cavs fan, fwiw)

Do you guys think you'll use KT's expiring for a big? You'll have really weak bench bigs...

If by good you mean in a suit due to injury then I'm sure he will do nicely

We have no idea what going on.. lol.. Our GM just pulled a huge psych move on us and New York.. Traded a player we thought was going to be a rocket for a long time.. I'm sure most of us here think there is more coming..

But he's only 26, and a natural scorer that the team desperately needs. Not to mention that one of the Scolandry had to go.

I think this is a fantastic deal for Houston... Though I wonder what Sacramento is going to do with Thompson AND Landry...

Then send Scola, we need athletic players and Landry is our most consistent boost off the bench.

1. Tmac is a bitch-made mother **** er.. No work ethic.. get ready to have a diva in the locker room.. He is a smart player he may have lost all his athleticism but he can still pass and make plays.. that being said he's still a douche for putting us in this situation..

2. Landry is the man! he is a good offensive player he has come a long way this season.. his back to the basket game has really improved.. His first step in the post is very hard to guard.. nice 20 ft jumper. he tends not to crash the boards.. he will be missed..
