imo shane starts over ariza cuz of defense. there's enough offense w/ yao/brooks/martin. hell yes this team is a contender if they stay healthy but that "if" is one humongous "if" . and by humongous, i mean if it does not work out, morey better sleep with one eye open

Kings wanted a quality front court player if they are to trade Martin (as reflected in Marc Stein's twitter). They like Landry and ask for him. Rockets have been pursuing Martin for a long time (before even trading for Artest) and when Kings finally stated their price is Landry + expiring, Morey pulled the trigger.

we lost nothing in this trade. Martin coming off the bench will have as much offensive impact as landry did or more. Landry's defense was also mediocre at best. We did lose a good young big though but we'll see if Morey can get lucky in the draft.
