Dragic has already arrived, the only things he didn't have when he got here last year was a realiable outside shot and self confidence.

He has both of those things now and is a real player.

Maybe something like Brian Cook/Battier/Jordan Hill/Andersen for Amare?

just needs to learn to run a team, improve his handles under pressure, learn to lead, and continue to improve generally

if we load up on stars at other positions dragic can start

Houston is really dumb for not trading for Amare when they had McGrady and Landry. Instead of banking on draft picks from the Knicks and an injury-riddled Kevin Martin, they could have gotten a beastly PF, re-signed him, and Jason Richardson, who is better than Kevin Martin despite being an absolute moron.

The reality is that there was no viable trade option for moving Amare. So, people here upset must be angry that they didn't move Amare for a crap poo poo platter. Sorry, it didn't happen (to the delight of most people who choose to watch this team) and get over it.

I find this interesting:

WojYahooNBA
Ronnie brewer has been traded to grizzlies for a pick, source says.

and then:

WojYahooNBA
This means Memphis is unlikely to pay Rudy Gay this summer

And LOL @

MrMichaelLee
Ernie G on Gilbert: "We think he's going to be back with us. He's part of the organization. If he's going to play, he's going to play here."

So the Wiz are sticking with Gilbert now??????

I think the Suns should sign Arenas. Seriously, we need more gunplay in the locker room.

I dont know if this has been said but Kerr on Ktar said the Cleveland deal was never gunna be accepted that it wasn't near enough he wanted a lot more

It also seems they offered amare a 3 year extension at about 15 per year and it wasn't agreed upon by him but they hope to extend him

Yeah but Amar'e is not necessarily going to opt in/re-sign in Houston, and while Kevin Martin is injury riddled he is gooood. He's like a more relevant version of TMac. They give Landry up but their lineup looks really good right now.

Yeah I am so glad we didn't cave on any of those offers. Heck I didn't really wanna give up Amar'e at all. I was getting mad depressed last night. I just hope both sides can put this behind them and that the Suns can be a little bit open to negotiating an extension..SOON.

$arver needs to extend Amare - eliminate the opportunity of him walking (nothing in return). Give him a 4 yr performance based contract that will pay him more than the talked about 14 mil per year if he produces but, much less if he does not. - Insurance for the Suns and long contract for Amare - everyone is happy. :D

With the new CBA on the way, I'd like to keep it to 3 years at the most. I don't know how creative they can get but what about a 5 year extension, but with the pay level at a % of max instead of $ value? This hedges the risk of the CBA undercutting a big contract...

Kerrsed, now you can bring back that Police Academy picture but with Tackleberry crying with the quote:

"There was gunplay sir, and he missed it." :D

Dampier has a contract that has performance provisions like that I believe.

I can't imagine the new CBA being able to shave any more than 25% of the max and average player salaries. If the max is currently $20 mil, then the new max is $15 mil. Something like that.

No doubt the players union will fight tooth and nail.
