There are various articles reporting different states of trade completeness. I just wanted to ask if this move was specifically meant to address a potential playoff run-in with the Hawks? I base that only on Nate's last game at Philips Arena.
Seriously though, while Nate has talent to light it up offensively does this move really help make the Celtics substantially better? Does he really help keep the title window open (if it is open)? Can he and Rondo be on the court at the same time defensively?
Off the wall question, does the trade negate Nate's bird rights considering he was a 1 year restricted signing? It's a minor point but if true means this is likely a pure rental.
My personal take: I think Nate invigorates the bench but creates an easily exploitable flaw. Doesn't solve any of the real issues with the team. If this turns out to be the only Boston move then I'll be happy because I think they needed a major move of trading Ray Allen's huge contract to remain competitive in the next couple years. That asset disappears after the deadline.
What do you think?

From what I heard Eddie House is involved and a deal has been reached.
Nate is the better scorer and is an upgrade to Eddie House. I have no idea if Rondo and Nate can be on the court together, so time will tell, but depending on the rest that's involved Boston did the right thing by acquiring Nate. I think Nate has a future with Boston past this season.

Nate could be the Celtics' version of Jamal Crawford. He is that talented. He is also very underrated.

The Celtics are a better team with Robinson compared to House. And the problem is that when bibby is in the game, Robinson can exploit Bibby but Bibby cannot exploit Robinson. Its a big problem.

The exploitable part would be going to a Crawford/Johnson back court with Bibby out if Robinson is in.

Robinson KILLED us -- that might be what the Celtics are thinking. We've had BOS's number, but he might be the answer.
Matter-of-fact, Jamison also kills us.
CLE and BOS get players (who hurt us) just in time to work them in before the playoffs.

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Just give Mo Evans a call when the playoffs roll around, and no one will ever score in bunches against the hawks.

With Nate, the Celtics have firepower on the bench, considerably better than Eddie House. I'm not worried about Nate scoring against the Hawks in the playoffs, because he can't guard Joe/JCraw, even Teague and Bibs, so all his points will come right back in form of bad D.
As for Jamison, it's a wonderful matchup for the Hawks. This way, Marvin and Mo can play more, since both can guard Jamison fairly well and tool him on the offensive end. It'll be nice to not have Zaza on the court so much, since he's only useful against KG
