Don't give your hopes up yet though. It is like Mike Wells said, the Pacers have 37 million in expiring contracts to parlay come summer. Not dumping anyone simply means the Pacers will have to work trades instead of signing anyone outright with exceptions or risk going into the luxury tax threshold.
They need only dump about 3-4 million between now and next year to escape the luxury tax, pending it falls around 55 million (est.).
The value of an expiring contract will go up come August 1st, 30 days into free agency.
I would say I expect the Pacers to make some sort of draft day trade in order to move up in the lottery (unless God gives up the #1 pick), but that would require that the front office actually made a move that the fans would like.
