Despite his lower numbers, Brewer was playing excelent ball this season. The Grizzlies got themselves a great player. Thanks for everything, Ronnie!

That reminds me... did you see those clips they played last night of Millsap sporting a headband at LaTech? Weird.

Anyway.. I'll miss Brewer's steals and finishing at the rim.

I didn't get to catch that but I have no doubt they look out of place (I've never liked the look of headbands.. I'm trying to imagine Milsap wearing one *YUCK* (I get the purpose of them but they look stupid). I know at the rookie all star game some time ago Brewer was excited to wear the headband again. *meh*

Yeah Brewer likes to drift and zone in a football term on defense for steals and that is going to be sad watching him do that for another team. :-?

I think Ronnie will put up some good numbers with the Grizzlies as their 6th Man. Good luck to Ronnie.

An athletic swing man who slashes to the hoop? Brewer was made to score on the jazz.

I'm going to miss Ronnie B for sure. He was a cool dude and seemed like a good guy. He was one of the young gang with Deron, Millsap, and Miles that showed promise for the future.

Maybe we resign him in the off-season.

I loved watching Ronnie grow up with the Jazz. He has almost always been a joy to watch, and from what I understand, was an absolute stand up guy.

Best of luck, give em hell and kick ass when you're not playing the Jazz! You are ALWAYS welcome back to SLC. :D

If the Jazz had wanted him beyond this season:

A) They would've signed him to an extension
B) They wouldn't have just traded him.

A few of my favorite RB moments:

12/2006 @ Atlanta

Jazz playing like crap. Down 21 early in the fourth quarter. Sloan looking for anyone to contribute. He puts Brewer in, Brew gets a couple of steals and leads the Jazz comeback and we won the game. Remember, Brewer hardly played his rookie season.

11/2008 @ Philly

D-Will's first game after the ankle injury and I was there. Jazz blew a lead and let Philly get back into it with a big run. Brewer had like 16 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Jazz back from like 6-12 points down. The man was doing it all.

11/2009 @ New York

I was there. The block with like 30 seconds left was big.

I liked Brew but as I said in the other thread, I think this is addition by subtraction when we face the Lakers.

Getting the crowd up off their seats with his dunks, we have had a great homecourt record over past couple seasons and I'd like to think Ronnie B was a big part of that. You can't teach the athetlic ability he possessed. Not only that he was a good guy, fit right into the jazz system as a great team player. sad to see him go
