2010 Off Season Starts Now

If I were the Clippers, I would do this:

1. Draft the best player available

2. Try to do a sign and trade for LeBron. I would probably take something like Kaman and Gordan to get it done. Thats an all star center and a potential all star shooting guard, who is only 21 years old. But, in return you get the great LeBron, which will fill the seats, sell jerseys, get tv revenue and more overall revenue for atleast making the playoffs. For all that, heck I would even throw in Griffin.

3.Clippers still have that max slot. They could use it to sign a Bosh, Stoudamire or Boozer.

Thats a start:

PF-Bosh
SF-LeBron
C-Jordan
PG-Davis
SG-Butler

Why sign and trade? If he wants to come here he'll come here and he won't want us to reduce our talent on the team for that to happen. The better thing would be to package Kaman and Baron for expirings. Then see what you can do with that. We would be in the same position as New York but with Gordon, Griffin, and Jordan as opposed to their crap.
I really like 1840s merchant vessels. Basketball on the other hand, I can take it or leave it...

We dont need two superstars we just need one.
If cavs can get the best record with Lebron, Ilgauskas, Mo Williams/D. West , Anthony Parker and Varejao
imagine what Clippers can get with Lebron, C. Kaman, Baron Davis, Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin

Not a big fan of Lebron's. I think he gets way tooooooooooooooo many calls where he starts the contact. With that said as much as I don't like it; James to the Clips makes sense.
lebron has already won over the East Coast, now its time to duel w/ an aging Kobe for West Coast Supremacy. If lebron does come, I will cancel my Season Tickets, watch quietly at home & let no one know I am a Clipper fan. Lebron will bring w/ him an ENDLESS supply of band wagoners.
Actually, I will renew my seats, over price them & make some money.

I dont think LeBron is going to leave any money on the table to join the Clippers... He seems like the type of guy that is about his self first, money second, team third. Coming to L.A. would give him money on endorsments and he would be all Hollywood and everything, but I dont think he will just sign with the Clippers and take 10% raises every year for a 5 year contract, when he could do a sign and trade and get 12.5% raises and sign for 6 years. Bosh would be a player more likely to take a 5 year deal with 10% raises because he would get a pay increase just on taxes alone, not to mention endorsements, etc. Plus, the chances of Bosh signing increase significantly once LeBron is aquired.

SG-Butler 10ppg/3rpg/2apg
