another thing is that armstrong is struggling this year, was supposed to be a legit rotation player in new orleands w/ okafor gone but got traded to sactown and only played 6 games with them. meanwhile jeffries is having his best year in new york, has no trouble cracking the rotation and gets anywhere from 25-35mpg.

yahoo fantasy has him at sg/sf but they have a lotta players at positions they dont play. he can play sg but not always, especially after logging the years he has. now that he's older he's not as fast and athletic as he was so it'll be hard for him to play sg on a consistent basis, specially in the west.

if armstrong plays over jeffries then rick needs to get the crap smacked out of him

According to 82games.com:

Jeffries has been playing PF/C this season.

Last season he played SG, SF, and PF.

i don't think jeffries can guard center
i see him as pf/sf

it would be really funny we are all wrong and cook is playing backup center

Lots of questions were asked in Feigen's blog and below are the ones on the rotation:

(Jeffries and Armstrong are unlikely to get spots in the rotation. -- Jonathan)

(Taylor will have to earn his way long-term, but who knows how things will shake out in the coming year. I think Shane will come off the bench. Hill would have the best chance to play. -- Jonathan)

If that's what he know from Rockets' management/coaches then the rotation would be more like this:

Brooks/Lowry
Martin/Budinger
Ariza/Battier
Scola/Hill
Hayes/Andersen

Max, I think that's still a center. It doesn't matter what kind of system a team has.
Just like we have the 6'2'' Chuck Hayes at the 5 spot. Thus, Hayes is a PF/C. To me Jeffries is a utility big man capable of playing SF/PF/C.

I'm confused. So SF/SG? or SF/PF? I am gonna assume that you mean the latter, and that he's not a center.

out of hilton and jeffries, jeff is having the better year AND career, and should be known to be the better player out of the two. he's proven himself more in one season than armstrong has in his career.

armstrong was ok in his first 3 years with new orleans. And by ok, i mean no better than what andersen is doing this year. he's productive in the limited minutes he gets but still has a lot of work to do. meanwhile jeffries was having his best year in new york. new yorks best post defender,he has good handles for a big, good at help defense (stls/blks/charges), can defend 2-5 mainly 4/5, little better than hilton at rebouding and scoring, and he can hit 3PTERS!! houston loves 3pters.

only reason armstrong got any burn was cuz the hornets were thin in the frontcourt. now they decide to trade him and he goes to sactown where they're packed at every position. i was high on armstrong until this year, was gonna pick him off waivers when he was sposed to be the backup pf/c for noh, but that iddnt happen.

for now at least, jeffries has to play over armstrong, and should get playing time no matter what. this team needs help w/ inside defense and jeffries gives us a solid chance at improving our inside d significantly. not a lot, but enough so that non-elite teams wont just walk into the paint and score at will. maybe not start but definenlty have him play w/ andersen or hill off the bench.

i dont mind keeping armstrong next year, he has room for improvement. but as of now, jeffries is the man

Hayes may be short but he's thick and strong
Jeffries is pretty skinny though
we will know tomorrow
