FFL: How did your team hold up through the trade deadline?

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 11:10 pm

For my team I had a couple of impacts and one non-trade.

First the good:
TMac to NY. FINALLY. Tmac is unleashed. And he ended up on a team where he might get a lot of run. I was worried he'd be bought out and sign with LA or CLE and be nailed to the bench. He may or may not be nailed to the bench in NY, but, at least there is a chance he's featured there.

Brewer traded to Memphis: This open up time for Wesley Matthews. Also potentially good for owners of Kyle Korver or CJ Miles.

The unknown:

Toney Douglas was suddenly getting significant minutes in NY. I am unsure how the subtraction of Hughes and the addition of Sergio will affect his minutes. I suspect it'll be an overall negative as NY fans seem high on Sergio. So, I added Sergio just in case he gets big minutes there.

Jordan Hill to Houston: With the departure of Landry there may be minutes for Hill. But, he wasn't lighting it up in NY so he may be useless now. Have to monitor his minutes.

The bad:

No Boozer trade. I was counting on Boozer being moved this season when I drafted Millsap and Okur. Not having that happen limits their value.

No Gortat trade. I was hoping Gortat would be moved to a team where he could start. No such luck. Welcome to the waiver wire Gortat.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

not much movement here. DeAndre Jordan gets a big jump in value now that Camby is out of town. Everybody else remains consistent...

Rasual Butler - more time open for him, he's been playing very well of late

Carl Landry - moves to Sacramento, and I think it will be detrimental to his game sadly. He was slowly coming down after a great start to the year

Chase Budinger - KMart's arrival could even squeeze him out of the rotation altogether

Some activity on my team at the trade deadline...

Camby - should be a pretty neutral move... maybe a slight upgrade since he wont be fighting with Kaman for space in the paint.

Josh Howard - who knows with this guy... could be beneficial since he was not getting much burn in Dallas this year.
