imagine your at a sports bar and people overhear you talking about your fantasy squad of Gay Cousins Love Sessions

Is this before or after we sign Luther Head to be our starting SG next year?

Gay Cousins Love Head Sessions

TOP THAT BENCHES! That's a full starting 5.

With the way things are going with the nbl, he'd be better off in Europe.

I'm totally shocked that Philly didn't get anything done.

How many teams does that make with mucho cap room?

2 Max Teams -
NY
NJ
CHI
LAC
MIA
WASH

1 Max Teams -
MIN
MIL
HOU
SAC

am I close depending on the expected budget?

I'm sort of concerned that that many teams with lots of $$$ means we end up overpaying for Gay, Outlaw, Morrow, ETC.

Well, we have the 6th most expected cap space (just saw on SportsCenter, we have about 35M in committed salaries). Washington was not on the list.

Washington depends on if Arenas's contract can be voided or not.

I don't think Milwaukee or Houston will be underneath the cap, Chicago doesn't have room for 2, neither does LAC or Washington.

Damn Milwaukee for helping the division rival Bulls clear cap space.

Same goes for Los Angeles for giving up on Al Thornton & using him to move Bassy. They're the Clippers, they aren't supposed to make smart moves like that.

We needed to use Craig Smith to move Basti, the Clipps needed Al Thornton to move him. That shows how much of a negative his contract must be.

my contract actually is quite good - I'm a student making no money on my own. if you trade me, you gotta trade my mum's contract. she's a teacher making decent money though.

Is that closer to the order? I don't have cable, and it's always impossible for me to find accurate info online.

A lot of those 1 Max teams will have far below the max, including us.

Meh.

so in reality our best shot is Gay, Ginobli, or trading one of our good players + assets for a slightly better player/better fitting player? At least we have the assets to make our team better and get incredible value in some trades/deals.

Once we're under the cap, the BYC rules don't apply anymore. The Jefferson for Granger trade was impossible as Granger is a BYC player, that wouldn't be a problem in the off season. I'm not suggesting that trade will happen, I'm just saying we have a lot more trade options once the dead weight drops off our cap.
