Nate is a good valuable piece on a good team, he can be a good defender via full court press

Interview with BT was good this morning.

Listening right now, How can not love Donnie, he is so ballsy and isn't gonna be lead by the dopey question of a baseball guy with little to know basketball knowledge.

Kay "Well you moved heaven and earth to get under the cap..."

Donnie cuts him off "no that's just what the media says"

Than Kay repeats himself like a freakin clown

i like Kay for the Yankees but he is soo foolish when it comes to b-ball.

Mickael Kay must be a poster on this board because he too follows the delusions that players suck when they are on our team until they get traded and then they are instant allstars. Same reason Jordan Hill will now be touted as a future star.

-It was tough to get rid of BOTH the picks AND Hill. But he felt it was the right move to help the franchise going forwad.

-Name of the Game in the NBA is Cap Flexibility

-He made Craw and Randolph deal being confident that would help his cause, but the economy possibly cost them $8 million due to the declining cap.

-Until Eddy plays, his market value isn't what it should be. Wants Eddy to get himself back in shape to show him and the league his worth.

-Says he knows McGrady can still play. (Through his people) He's optimistic he can help this team.

-On Nate: Believes Nate had value here, as well as on a good team. The way he plays he going to make mistakes. Believe Nate has some straightening out to do.

-On Lee: Too valuable to do a cap deal, plus he's BYC so it would have been difficult.

-He say he didn't make moves "over hell and high water"...but he put this team in position to become financially flexible and the chance to rebuild this team.

-He said if we don't get the person that we everyone wants, "I'll Leave" and someone else can build it. (Sounded sarcastic as to him possibly being fired). But was saying regardless the best way to build the team was from flexibility within the cap.

-Says he has no clue who the FA's are in 2010  Says it was his 3year plan from the start, and when he found out the FA's included LBJ/Wade/Bosh...all the better.

-He knew ZBo and Craw were solid players, but they weren't a good mix together.

-Believes filling out the remainder of the roster with left over space will be tough, but he's working on solutions.

-Is he disappointed with D'Antoni? NO. He believes Mike hasn't had the roster that best suits his style. He's tried to acquire those talents while sticking to the plan...but it's tougher than it seems.

-Says the KNicks GM job is a MONUMENTAL task

-Loves NY and believes its a basketball town. NYers are begging for a winner. And he's trying to bring that to them.

I spent most of my day driving and listen to all of these guys yammer on about Tiger Woods endlessly. These last 10 mins where the best. Tho, Donnie should stick to just talking with BT. Kay tries too hard to be objective and thus takes a very ignorant stance. Glad Donnie didn't take it and corrected him at least 3 or 4 times.

Questions like those are meaningless, Walsh isn't going to admit he's going after Lebron or that he doesn't think Mike isn't doing a good job.
We all know that he knew about the 2010 class from the start. And if he is unhappy with his coach, he won't say it because of the chaos and tension it would cause. Walsh was being politically correct and the whole interview was pointless.
Also, he's not gonna say "Curry has no value and nobody wanted him".
