Yeah, I hope they start him ahead of Duhon so they have a chance to evaluate him.

Obviously Bron is their number 1 target, but if he falls through, I really think they are going to gun for a SG (Wade/ JJ) and a PF (Bosh/ Amare/ Boozer).

They already have their PG's for next year (Sergio and Douglas) and their SF's (Chandler/ Gallo). All would be great complementary pieces to a star SG/PF combo.

Oh and they'll probably have Eddy Curry at C too

did anyone notice that the ESPN Trade Machine shows Amar'e with 2 years left on his contract but LeBron, Bosh, and Wade show them as 1 year left. Just Wondering if anyone else noticed this.

what do u guys think about barbs? i think as far as long term contract he may get some trade interest. what do u guys think who do u think the suns can get for him. the thing is the bench are showing great chemitry due to the hustle they play with on both end but we know LB doesnt have that. I know its early but im interested in what my fellow fans think.

I know the deadlines over already but just an update for those who doubted Beasley's value, with Wade out injured against Memphis tonight, Beas as the 1st option:

13/25 for 30 points, 8 boards, 1 assist, 3 steals, 1 block, 3 turnovers, in 40 minutes, Miami won 100-87.

I really think he would've exploded if he went to Phoenix. Anyways best of luck to you guys re-signing Amare in the offseason, I think he'll probably stay if Sarver just makes a competitive offer.

I couldn't see them trading Beasley before and I can't see it now, as of this point I'd be happy with some draft picks for Amare. If Beasley gets to play more minutes and get more field goal attempts he's going to be a stud, perfect second option for Wade.

I have a feeling it could be Wade ...

but really even JJ and Boozer woudl be a nice lineup with Lee, Sergio, Chand;er, Gallo, and I still have hopes for Bil Walker

I know this won't happen. But wouldn't it just be hilarious to see Amare, Bosh, Lebron, and Wade not opt out during the off-season? Talk about hype not being delivered lol.

Absolutely, I watched him tonight thinking of how he'd fit in. He pulled the Heat to a win without Wade. Talent wise, and age difference wise, Beasley for Amare is almost a no brainer. The problem is his head and drug use though right? Wasn't he essentially institutionalized last summer?

The problem was Miami did not offer him .

Our problem remains. Kerr-plunk and Knobert are meeting with Amare over dinner to discuss....

So what will the conversation be ? ...

Kerr : ' Gee Amare, we want you here, but cant pay you what you want... do you think, you can, ahem, maybe , ahem, opt in, and then we trade you to a team of your choice ? Because, if you walk, ahem , we will look very foolish.... you don't want to do that do you     ? '

Stat : ' Well, so you don't think I'll get a max offer, and you want me to opt in so you can trade me... but you couldn't or wouldn't trade me to the team of my choice last week ,ahem, Miami... and now , you want me to believe you will be able to, when you have even less leverage ? '

Knobert : ' Wow, look at the price of those scallops, he guys lets draw straws for the bill :clown: '

My perception of the inclusion of Boozer in a prospective deal would have meant that the Suns would replace Boozer for this season, give him a trial run with Nash, and also see some cash savings. I think Boozer would fit better with the Suns than Stoudemire does. He rebounds and passes considerably better ... and the Jazz would have been substantially weakened.

Who were all the people that were saying they wanted McGrady to sign with the Lakers rather than Cleveland (when it was just a trade between Houston/Sacramento and it was rumored that Sac was going to release him)? Did any of you idiots see the numbers he put up tonight as a starter and in his debut with the Knicks?

Look what he did tonight in his debut for the Knicks vs OKC.....

31mins.....10-17FG....1-3 3FG....5-7FT.....4Rbd....4Asst....3TO....1St.....26Pts

Personally I would've loved to have gotten in on the original Houston/Sac deal. Or even just a straight deal with the Rockets.

Amare/J-Rich for McGrady/Landry/Picks

Crazy that everyone thinks he's washed up. Think had we made a trade of Amare for McGrady, we could've resigned McGrady for about $12-14 and Landry for $8-10mil. So that would've been 2 roster spots that will be at $32Mil, when we probably could've had the 2 spots at $20-24Mil.

What really burns is that New York was able to get him, plus clear enough cap space to add 2 MAX free agents. Yes, McGrady is gonna be a FA as well, but has stated that he's made enough money in his career, that if the Knicks were able to get Lebron/Wade and Bosh/Amare, he'd be willing to take the Mid Level ($5.9mil) or even the Bi-Annual ($1.9mil) to stay in New York to play with them.

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knick...rbtMO8bCR1auvN

So, look out for New York next year. Just think of the team they could have:

Wade (PG)
McGrady (SG)
Chandler (SF)
Gallinari (PF)
Amare (C)

or

House (PG - resigned)
McGrady (SG)
Chandler/Gallinari (SF)
Lebron (PF)
Bosh (C)

the options are ridiculous

Now if the Suns can do a S&T w NY this summer for Amare, that would be great for us in getting a return of Lee and Chandler. We'd stock up at the SF/PF positions with good young assets.

Hello, HOU fan here. Would you guys S&T Amare for Hill, 2 1st rounder + (expiring) fillers?

A S&T could be possible this summer between Houston and Phoenix.....although I find that unlikely to happen, unless it's known that Yao will be out next season as well. I just don't see Amare and Yao playing well together. Their games don't compliment each other. I think that may have been why the Rockets were trying to get Amare for the rest of this year so they'd have a reliable low post threat this year for the playoff push and so they could S&T him to someone else this summer.

Now if the Rockets would still like to get their hands on a S&T Amare this summer (and Amare is willing to go to them....kinda unlikely with the Heat, Bulls, Knicks, Nets all in the mix for him), then a possible deal could be had. IMO, a deal would have to start w the Rockets pick along w the Knicks pick THIS YEAR, along with a combo of Scola (S&T)/Ariza/Budinger/Hill (although I'm not a big fan)/Brooks.

I'm sure NY would do a TMac for Nash sign and trade in the summer. It's a shame that TMac and GrantHill never had the success they were meant to in Orlando. Now they could win a championship together with Amare next year. ;)
