10-8 in the big ten usually gets good consideration for the tournament, which would mean beating Purdue or Illinois. There might be an outside shot at 9-9, but they'd have to have a run in the big ten tournament.

Garcia really fell down to earth. Draftexpress really loved him at the start of the season.

Gophers need to beat Purdue and Illinois to make the tourny. That's really the only way we deserve it.

Damion James just knocked Dexter Pittman out of the game with an accidental right cross.

Hey, whatever you got to do to win.

I still like James for the Utah pick, depending on who's available. Definitely over that d-leaguer Varnado.

It was pretty funny. James went over to the monitor to see what happened, and the announcers were walking him through the play while on the air. Too bad for Pittman, though. In addition to pooping the bed during conference play, it's also been revealed he has a glass jaw.

Another solid stat line for Ebanks. Is he going to get back into the lottery discussion?

Gordon Hayward had a good game against a usually solid Sienna team. I would love to have a player named Gordon on the team.

James Anderson continues to score at will. How high can he go? Can he get up to the end of the lottery? There's not too many SG's in the draft.

Udoh with another poor shooting performance, but looks like he continues to make an impact in other ways.

Aminu continues to be a stat stuffer, the good kind and the bad kind (6 TOs already).

Anderson's currently my 3rd rated wing player (behind Turner and Johnson). At the moment I'm wondering what makes Johnson better than Anderson. He probably would have dropped below Anderson if he didn't have the "My shooting hand hurts so much I can't even high five my teammates" excuse.

Darington Hobson had 17/8/5 today, along with what turned out to be the game-winner with 16 seconds left.

DaKidKG wrote:I never thought that I would say this, BUT... I'm on the Evan Turner with the #1 pick bandwagon. 2 months ago I would've called someone crazy for saying that, but I'm now convinced that he can be the face of a franchise.

Don't get me wrong, John Wall is the issh. I'm all about the guy. I've even added the Wall dance to my moves repertoire which also includes the Jared Allen Rope Em. However, there are a few reasons for why I've convinced myself into why Turner should be our guy. One, Turner fits a position of need, and is basically unguardable from getting to the hoop. His all around game is reminiscent of Brandon Roy, and his finishing ability is approaching that of Tyreke Evans.

The biggest reason for why we need Evan Turner is because he doesn't have any character concerns. He's a cleancut guy that can lead by example. John Wall on the other hand got busted for breaking and entering while he was in high school. This happened while he was widely considered the #1 prospect in the nation. That was a braindead move. Everyone should be given a second opportunity, but we have to consider the possiblity that he could make another stupid decision in the future.

With the 1st pick in the draft, if we have the opportunity to get a can't miss prospect that's a great person and also plays a position of need... We have to jump all over that. Right??? Or am I out of my mind?

Here's a sweet vid with high resolution.

I'm 100% with you. I think Turner has a much higher floor, while a lower ceiling than Wall. But Turner has been stepping it up more since his back injury I think. I just hope his shot will continue to improve. I want him more than I wanted Rubio last year...Turner has that kinda game where he gets everyone involved, while dominating you in every way possible...

Why did he ever fall out? :)

Late lotto is likely the highest he'd go, yes. I've liked him since he was a freshman, but never thought he'd be able to reach lottery level, kind of funny how that changed. I plan on doing a writeup on him over on KFAN next (just did one on Udoh) since people seem to want pieces written on mid-first targets.

good for Favors, finally had a signature game for him anyways, (team still lost )

See if he can string together a few good games like this heading into the tourney.
