Morey Is Really Making a Name For Himself

Post#1 » by erudite23 » Sun Feb 21, 2010 12:13 am

Just wanted to drop in and let you guys know how great Morey has been for you, if you didn't already know. With the failure of the T-Mac/Yao connection as a Shaq/Kobe like force, he's still found a way to make less-is-more type deals (ie Battier for Gay and Artest for Ariza), grab sleepers that no one else thought much of (Landry, Brooks) and shrewdly maneuver for solid players who can be had on the cheap (Scola). Now he finds a way to turn a sixth-man type post player and a massive expiring into an All-Star caliber 2, a top young big man prospect, and two picks that could be either massively valuable or worth very little (lol). He really drove a hard bargain with NY and I have a feeling this is going to work out beautifully for your team.

Congrats on having one of the most creative FO guys in the league. I hope you guys appreciate him properly. Most teams would love to have someone like him.

Higher you go, the deeper the fall.

I hope Morey never falls but if he ever does, he's going to feel it.
