#1 Overall Pick
In the unlikely event that Sacramento gets the First overall pick in the coming draft would you choose to:
A - Draft John Wall, concensus best PG available and have a Wall/Evans backcourt to go with the rest of the roster
B - Draft your choice of the high profile big men to combine with Landry, Thompson & Hawes
C - Trade the pick for a high profile player of choice as Sacramento would have the cap space to absorb most any salary of a single player, or potentially using it to move a contract we'd prefer to move (ex. Nocioni) as well in the process (the detail would likely vary depending on the player Sacramento would acquire)
D - None of the Above (Specify)

Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.

I'd trade down and extort, rob and steal from teams in the 2-4 range to move up.

Would have to just draft Wall and see how things play out.

Trade the #1 pick (Wall) and Hawes to NJ for Brook Lopez and their pick. Draft Evan Turner.

None of the above because it is still way too early to tell where things are going to shake out. We still need to see how the current pieces fit together. We also need to not only see who actually declares for the draft, but what those guys do in March and April. We also need a better sense on what other teams might go into the summer a little earlier than they like and need to make some major moves for next year. Just way too many unknowns at this point.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Unless Wall is a much better 3pt shooter than it appears he would be a terrible fit with Evans. I would look to possibly trade down and get cousins and something else that's really nice.

cosigned. We need a PG that can spread the floor and distribute, Wall reminds me of a poor man's DWade.

If Nets would go for it I 1000% agree. I think Evan Turner's versatility is ideal fit next to Tyreke. The Evan-Evans backcourt has great size, ball handling & defense. Weakest part of both of their games is outside jumper & they'll get better with age. Plus we get Brooke Lopez...I'm talking multiple titles!

I'd sign on to that as well.

I don't see how New Jersey would ever agree to such a trade. They'd basically be making a 2-for-1 trade in their disadvantage.

I'd do that trade, but I'd rather look for a trade like the Webber/Penny deal with a clear cut #1 like Wall getting back a lower pick plus two more future firsts to stack the future drafts for us and have additional assets that should have more value as the new CBA takes effect.

Re: #1 Overall Pick
I don't think the difference between Wall and Turner is great enough to warrant a Hawes for Lopez exchange.
I could see it more realistically being
1st pick
Hawes
for
4th pick
Lopez
That makes more sense for the nets because That 1st pick would be extremely valuable to a team that is starved for stars and needs to convince people like Lebron and Wade and Bosh and Amare that they are a good FA destination.
It still works for the Kings because we net a fantastic option at the C spot and become very dangerous immediately and then we still have the 4th pick to use on a guy like Cousins, or Favors maybe or Ed davis. The point is a trade like this would give the kings the type of options that they haven't ever had.
Imagine if you will.
Evans/Udrih
Greene/Garcia
Casspi/Nocioni
Cousins/Landry
Lopez/Thompson/Brockman
The kings would have the ability to make a major trade here that would land them a potential star SG as well. We could ship out Thompson or Landry with Greene or Casspi, with Garcia, Nocioni, or Udrih. Not to mention that the kings would still have their capspace to help facilitate any trade.

If you got Lopez, then you need to grab Evan Turner with the pick. If that can't happen, then you stick with Hawes and Grab Evan Turner IMO, then you go out and trade for Okafor with our raw cap space.

Re: #1 Overall Pick
a 2 way player like brook Lopez is infinitely more valuable and usable than a guy like Okafor who can only get half the job done. While Evan turner is a great pick up I do my version of the trade in a heart beat because truly how many centers in the league are on the same level as Lopez? I count 3 others Bynum, Howard, Yao. It's so much harder to fill the C spot with a guy that can play both ways extremely effectively than it is to find an all around SG. You also have to remember that it's the front court in the NBA that wins a championship there haven't been too many teams in this league to get to championship level with out an all star big man. The only 1 that I can think of is the Bulls with Jordan.

i would probably trade the #1 pick for Lopez straight up to be honest with you. I think he could possibly be the next Tim Duncan.

Yes and this is why the next Tim Duncan's leading his team to 5 wins through 50+ games. Last time I checked Duncan in his 2nd year was the best player on a championship team. And no the nets aren't great, but Harris is a decent player and they have a few other decent players and if you put 2-3 decent players around Duncan there was NO WAY his team was only winning 10 games in a season. To be honest I really believe Lopez is horribly overrated. He averages 19/9 for a team that has 5 wins. If he was the next Duncan/Garnett he'd be getting 2-3 more boards per game, and he'd be averaging over 20 PPG. Those guys were always 22/12 guys with great D. I can't stand either Lopez Brother I think they're both douchebags to be perfectly honest with you. Robin irritates the hell out of me on the suns and Brook was being a douche shaking his head when Reke won the rookie game MVP. Brook isn't even on the level of a guy like Bosh or Boozer.
