Relax it was one game. Look at how Jamison played last night.

Adelman should've played jeffries and hill and see what they can do out there. How much worst could have they played? I'm pretty sure they wouldnt' play as bad as andersen. He looked horrible out there.

He's in the prime of his career right now. I don't think his shooting actually got worse. I think it has more to do with his confidence right now. He hasn't looked like the same player since he came back from his wrist injury. I personally think he should have played through the injury. He played through it the game after he got injured and he had a pretty good game. Look at my sig for Martin's stats pre-injury.

Horrible shooting night. Dunno why he's off this season, but I'm still trusting it's fixable.

Not active. Stands alot with hand at hip. Walk instead of run alot of the time. Also look like he lose focus easily.

Ugh yes. That was definitely off-putting. If he helps us win, it's tolerable, but damn I loved watching our hustle earlier this year. To no end.

4pts, 7 rebounds, 2 assists right now. Yeah, he's beasting.

Seriously, guys. This was one game. I don't have the time right now, but tomorrow I'm going to look at other new acquisitions' first games and see how well they played... I'm guessing "not well." It's hard to step in and make a difference right away.

The other thing to keep in mind is that this trade wasn't made to help us win it all this year; it was made for Martin to be Option B for Yao NEXT year.

Translation: just like New York will know the trade worked out for them in July, we'll know next season. It's too early to tell.

Everyone: BREATHE IN. BREATHE OUT. BREATHE IN. BREATHE OUT. It will be okay. Stop crucifying Morey after one game.

I couldn't watch the second half of the game because I had to go to my nephew's little party, but Martin really didn't look that bad. He just seemed lost and out-of-place, which is fixable. There were no permanent glaring holes and his defense was average compared to what McGrady would've given us.

Martin is ok. He shots are just now going in but he did went to the line 9 times and dished out 5 assists.

However, Adelman is not ok.

The rockets have similar results recently with/without Landry/Martin. Adelman need to retool the offense and the lineup at the last 5 minutes of 4th quarter. Too many times I see Brooks, Ariza, Battier together in the last 5 minutes with Brooks being focus of the opponent defense. The rockets just keep launching 3pters during that period of time.

Budinger was doing well and he pulled him out..... then you have brooks missed a 3 pter, Martin missed a 3pter, Ariza missed a 3pter and Battier missed a 3pter..... 4 3pter shots while Pacers started their run.

I will refrain for shiyt canning Martin, as Jamison sucked worse in his first game in LeBronland.

However, he had better bloody well improve, or I will go to town on Daryl Moron's sorry A$$.

Sorry, you don't lose to Indiana, they suck. Especially on the road, yet we have lost to them twice this year.

I think Landry's usual 20pts off the bench might have helped. Seemed like we had no post presence.

Takes me back to Olajuwon being drafted over Jordan. Even though we had Ralph Sampson, we took Olajuwon, because gifted big men, are few and far between. Not comparing anyone to Dream, he is untouchable as far as I am concerned, a Demi-god so to speak. Just saying that you don't give up a talented big for a guard.

See, I have refrained from Shiyt canning. martin has four more games to go, and then it begins!

That's fair. All I'm saying is--give it time. This trade wasn't made for this year, but next. Martin was brought here to play off of Yao, not lead the team.

It'd be as if we acquired Drexler when Dream was out for a season... yeah, it's an improvement, but you can only tell how much of one it is when the big guy returns.

It's not so much blind optimism on my part as it is rationality and patience. If I can bring a level head to this board, well, that's more than most teams have, isn't it? ;) No need to jump the gun; it's too early to tell how the trade is doing.

Turnovers and no defense. Don't blame this solely on Kevin Martin.

Heat's first game with Jermaine O'Neal: Loss.
Raptors' first game with Shawn Marion: Loss.
Thunder's first game with Sefolosha/Malik Rose: Loss.
Bobcats' first game with Boris Diaw: Loss.
Suns' first game with Jason Richardson: Win (by one).
Warriors' first game with Jamal Crawford: Loss
Clippers' first game with Zach Randolph: Loss.
Nuggets' first game with Chauncey Billups: Loss.
Pistons' first game with Allen Iverson: Loss.

Do we see a pattern here, guys? In-season trades take a few games, because there's no training camp to get used to. CHILL.

With Optimism Prime, who's not as optimistic as I am, granted, I agree that Martin needs time to get adjusted.

Brooks though, he disappeared. Adelman needed to give Temple more time to keep Brooks effective.

Trade Brooks this summer for a tough, defensive-minded PF/C, start Lowry and let Temple back him up, and next year, BAM, 75 wins and an easy ride to the championship.

also, tits.
