Opinion Question: Whose Winning the Championship

Post#1 » by AZdeuce » Mon Feb 22, 2010 5:43 pm

I think us Suns fans are realistic, we are not going to win it this year! Knowing that who do you think is going to win the championship?

Me I dont think there is a team more stacked then the lakers, they basicly have a mini all-star team. Knowing that and their experience in the playoffs, I just dont see another team touching them. And they are my most hated team.

Cavs, they are an overhyped, overaged team. Nothing about that team strikes fear into anyone other then Lebron. (Which is another reason i think Lebron is a Knick next year) I honestly dont see them getting past the Magic. Boston had a good run with their older players but the age thing is catching up to them.

So Lakers bought another championship. Sucks but yea its theirs again.

Yeah I don't see the Cavs winning either, as an NBA fan I'd love to see Lebron go to the Knicks, would be good for the NBA and if they don't win there's a very good chance that will happen and I can't see that team winning with the supporting cast around him. From the east I think it will be the Magic or maybe the Hawks surprising.

Lakers, I don't know I think Denver has a strong possibility to beat them or maybe even the new look Mavs. From the west though it's going to be one of those three teams and my darkhorse pick, the Suns pulling a surprise upset.

I think the Suns are a darkhorse simply because of Robin Lopez!

The Suns always play so much better when expectations are low heading into the post-season.

In my opinion, the only teams that could take us in a 7 game series (all else equal) are the Lakers, Mavericks and the Nuggets. As long as you can avoid the Lakers in the 1st round, I think you have a great shot at the conf. semis.

I'm honestly not that impressed with the Jazz.

OKC seems like a wildcard, though I'm not convinced they have the composure to make noise this year.

Portland, even with Camby, is just a tired and unlucky team this season.

I would love to play the Spurs in the 1st round and bounce them....

just cause i live in LA and i always here the "Denver ain't gonna win cause they got no people on the bench expect Ty", ill go for them. although, playing the spurs 1st round and beating them would make my year.
theres no such thing as defense in phoenix.

I think it'll either be the Cavs or the Lakers. My dark horse is Denver.

Honestly? I think I'll go with a darkhorse Dallas to win. I LOVE the pickup of Butler and Haywood for them.

The gap between PHX and UTA/SAN is un-justifiable in my opinion.

Damn, with those odds I would have a hard time not putting money on Denver, Orlando, ATL, or Dallas. All four of those teams could definitely upset.

I, however, put my bet on the Cavs to win it all this year, but if they don't get Z back that could change rather quick.

Yeah I think Dallas would be a good bet to make before the odds really factor in the upgrade to Caron/Haywood

I think I'll put some actual money on Orlando though, I can't see Dallas getting past LA in the West. I can't see anyone getting past LA in the West

I wish i could join in on the Dallas enthusiasm but I just dont see it. They just look like a team full of former All-stars who have never won anything, on the down hill slide of their careers, 90% of that team is over 30. I dont know, they seem to be missing that one thing, i cant put my finger on it.

Cavs to me are kinda in that same boat. Missing something. I dont know what it is. Like a true second All-star, one that can take over a game, like pippen did when Jordan wasnt having a great night.

Lakers again, This team in my opinion make it to the Finals without Kobe. With Gasol and Bynum, two bigs that come close to dominating. That in itself can win a Championship. I mean really Gasol won last years championship. Hate to same it but Kobe was Pippen last year.
