This team had severe problems before Landry went out, I think Lowry is the most needed right now...

AB has nil basketball IQ, and is a defense liability as a plus....so, no matter how cool are his numbers in the boxscore, the team is severely hurt with a total lack of a PG without at least decent court vision in the whole roster.

I miss Landry.

Enough said.

cleveland lost 2 with jamison as well

they lost 3 straight after the jamison trade

they lost 3 straight but jamison only played in two

it's true
no hand check rule meaning all those quick pg can run all around the court
hornets basically just spread the court with 3 outside shooters and then their pg and pf/c running pick and roll all day long

It is true. And this is why the NBA is generally such unwatchable crap these days. Idea was to up the scoring and get out of the big defensive battles that dominated the early nineties, but I dunno that this alternative is any better. Watching a bunch of little guys running into the lane and shooting FT's to decide games. At least old-style had more semblance to an overall competitive contest instead of a transition/pick'n'roll/FT exercise.

So did Aaron Brooks send Stern a thank you letter? Brooks is one of those 'little guys' but I'm guess it's ok when he runs into the lane and shoots ft's to decide games right?

Collison is the best backup point guard that Paul has ever had backing him up since Paul has come into the league. He's the first one that's been younger than Paul and is not a shooting guard chucker playing the point guard role. There has always been a drop off in production when Paul went to the bench. Thank goodness the Hornets did something right in this draft. No more old, on their way out of the league point guards backing Paul up. Collison's 4 years of college helped him. The kid knows how to play ball. He has one of the best in the league in his ear every night. Now all the Hornets need is for him to play this well once he returns to the bench because he plays no where near this well when he's come off the bench. However, with experience I expect that to change.

Assuming this is directed at me, it looks as though you've somehow inferred a homer-istic slant to my comments. Incorrect. It was a general rant about the overall trend of play in the league.
