Same thing that happened to Stackhouse. Opened his big mouth and Dallas pulled him out of their trade last year. No written anything needed, just 'loose lips'. Brent Barry was smart and kept his mouth shut 2 yrs ago.

I think Z will go to ATL or Denver. He can get minutes for a contender.

edit- didn't even think about Dallas, now with Dampier out for months/season(?)

Or another option (post draft) especially if the Warriors end up with the 3rd pick in the draft.

Lakers Receive
Mayo
Thabeet
Randolph

Grizzlies Receive
Ellis

Warriors Receive
Bynum

Lakers Depth
Mayo / FA
Bryant / Mayo / Brown
Artest / Bryant / Randolph
Odom / Randolph
Gasol / Thabeet

Jamison will get at least 25 mpg. Shaq-Diesa will get his 25 a game. That doesn't leave an overwhelming amount of time already for Varejao and Hickson. I suppose they could take Hickson out of the game, but I don't think uniting with Cleveland is that obvious. He could play extensive minutes as you said in Atlanta. What guarantee does Cleveland bring of a title anyway?

There are no GSW picks in the OP on the trade board one. Just what you have here^

No way in hell we take Randolph, let Memphis keep him and I realize he's playing well. It's a financial reason that I wouldn't want that.

I know that as I was the original poster on the trade board one. I was referring to the GSW pick on the op of this thread by a GSW fan.

How the hell did Randolph get in this?

It's a simple tweak of the Memphis GSW one that GSW turned down:
Bynum for Ellis, with LA sending Ellis to Memp for OJ/Thabeet. No picks, no other players.

Wait wait- Anthony Randolph or Zach Randolph ??????????????

I was referring to Anthony. I added it in responding to the op of this thread where a GSW fan indicated they would give up a lot more than Ellis if they got Bynum. Since the rumor is Memphis offered Mayo / Thabeet for Ellis and GSW turned it down Memphis wouldn't need sweetener, so if GSW is willing to part with more then LA gets it.

I still think that the best trade that we can make is bynum for hinrich and noah, is easy and help both teams. Plus if we do this trade we only have to look for an s.g./s.f. with the mle( somebody like mike miller) resing farmar for cheap and voila we have a contending for the next 3 years easily

How the hell does Donnie Nelson, not of the NBa league office or players association, know what the league will or will not do with Z?

Lakers frontcourt is already crowded as it is, not sure there would be enough minutes for Big Z. Plus, the latest has him definitely going back to Cleveland.

the nba has a concept saying "never trade a big for a small"....but deron williams is probably the only point guard i would do this without a doubt..

I'd do it but, seriously, for Bynum only I don't think it'd be possible.

Generally I wouldn't trade a big for a small but with the makeup of this Laker team, I would trade Bynum for Deron in a heartbeat.

Since we have LO yes

The crazy part is Deron is just a bad ass. He is amazing. If the Lakers didn't have LO we would have to say no even though he is Deron freakin Williams.

Bynum is getting ready to beast for the next decade. I think next year Bynum will have enough value where most anyone would say this was a fair trade.

The best centers in the NBA that are still around in order (since 92 when Shaq was a rookie)

Howard
Yao
Bynum
Shaq
Kaman
Lopez

Centers of this caliber don't come around every year. It takes skill and size. A lot of skilled centers are under sized (Amare, Lee)
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Post all your fantasy ideas about who the lakers should sign or trade for in the offseason here. If there is an official report linking the lakers to a player, feel free to create a new thread on the topic. otherwise, keep it in here.
